About Saihate Station
Saihate Station follows two 26‑year‑old office workers, Haru Akinashi and Shion Tatsunami, who awaken at a strange train station after a night on the last train. Their strained workplace relationship drives the narrative as they must cooperate to uncover the station’s secrets and find a way home.
The free‑to‑play title offers multiple endings that depend on Haru’s “dependency level,” features simple puzzles and chase scenes, and runs on Windows and macOS with several volunteer‑translated languages.

Story and Characters
The plot opens with Haru, a newly hired office worker who lacks confidence, and Shion, his cheerful senior colleague who calls him “Senpai.” Haru feels inferior and begins to distance himself, while Shion appears talented and kind.
A mysterious incident transports both men to Saihate Station, where they promise to work together and return home. As they solve problems, Haru’s memories of their past friendship resurface, strengthening their bond before the station’s true nature is finally revealed.

Gameplay and Difficulty
The game is described as low difficulty, offering only simple puzzles and chase scenes without surprise elements. When a game over occurs, players can continue immediately without loading a save, keeping the experience fluid.
A “dependency level” tracks Haru’s reliance on Shion; this metric shapes the story’s direction and leads to multiple endings based on player actions.
- Try different puzzle approaches to see how they affect the dependency level.
- Don’t worry about occasional failures; continuation is instant.

Dialogue Focus
Saihate Station emphasizes conversation between the two protagonists. Players can enjoy the contrast between Shion’s cheerfulness and Haru’s self‑effacing nature through extensive dialogue exchanges.
The design encourages listening to character interactions rather than fast‑paced action, making narrative the primary driver of the experience.
- Read each line carefully; subtle hints may affect Haru’s dependency.
- Use the optional “hint_spoiler” file for strategy tips if needed.
