About Rune Classic
Rune Classic brings the original Viking third‑person hack‑and‑slash adventure to Steam, preserving the single‑player story where a warrior battles Loki’s minions to stop Ragnarok from engulfing Midgard. The release also bundles the Halls of Valhalla multiplayer expansion, adding competitive melee modes.
Players wield axes, swords, maces and hammers while surviving on meat, lizards and mead. The game includes over 35 levels, redesigned sections for smoother play, and all original music tracks provided in OGG format.

Story Campaign

Multiplayer Modes
The Halls of Valhalla expansion adds four multiplayer styles: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Arena and Headball. Each mode emphasizes close‑quarters melee combat using the same weapon set available in the campaign.
Multiplayer matches take place across a selection of the over 35 multiplayer and singleplayer levels, allowing opponents to fight with swords, maces, hammers, axes or even body parts as weapons.

Weapon Enchanting

Level Design
