About Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition
Root Double – Before Crime * After Days – Xtend Edition is an adventure game set in 2030. Explosions at the nuclear research facility LABO trigger a reactor melt‑down, locking the rescue squad Sirius and other survivors inside a radiation‑filled city.
The narrative follows two protagonists—captain Watase Kasasagi, who awakens with amnesia, and student Natsuhiko Tenkawa, who reconstructs events six days earlier. Progress depends on the Senses Sympathy System, which uses the player’s projected trust to shape the story.

Incident Setup
The story opens with sudden explosions at LABO, a nuclear research site in the isolated city of Rokumei. The city dispatches the elite rescue unit Sirius, which soon confronts a reactor melt‑down and a lockdown that traps its members and other survivors.
Radiation leaks and a shortage of anti‑radiation medication create a desperate environment. Within this setting, doubt is presented as an enemy while trust among characters is highlighted as essential for survival.

Dual Protagonists
Two distinct viewpoints drive the story. Watase Kasasagi is a rescue squad captain who loses his memories after the incident, while Natsuhiko Tenkawa is a student piecing together clues from six days before the disaster.
Each perspective provides unique scenes and information. Experiencing both routes allows the player to gather the full set of clues needed to understand the overall situation.
- Take notes on clues each protagonist uncovers; they often complement each other.

Senses Sympathy System
The Senses Sympathy System (SSS) replaces traditional choice menus. Players project emotions—especially trust—onto characters, and these emotional inputs directly shape story progression.
Effective use of SSS is essential; the narrative advances according to how the player’s trust is expressed toward each character.
- Focus on building trust with characters to unlock deeper scenes.
- Experiment with different emotional tones to see varied narrative outcomes.
