About Ritus Exorcismus
In *Ritus Exorcismus* you play as a priest trained by the church to perform exorcisms across a land plagued by demonic possession. Armed with an Exorcism Book and a case of six holy relics, you travel from your Abbey to villages where both people and the environment have been corrupted.
Each chapter presents a new village with unique possessed villagers, animals, or land features. By matching demonic signs to the correct relic and completing its minigame, you can drive out the evil, earn offerings, and upgrade your relics, shaping the story’s multiple possible endings.
01 / THE GUIDE
Exorcism Book
The book holds information on every demon and the signs they display. When you encounter a possessed entity, you locate the matching page and choose the appropriate relic to counter the demon’s actions. Mastery of the book lets you identify signs without consulting the pages, reflecting your growth as an exorcist.
The book’s role is central: it guides relic selection and determines the success of each exorcism. Familiarity with its contents reduces reliance on trial‑and‑error during encounters.
- Compare the demon’s visual cues with the book’s illustrations before selecting a relic.
- Take note of recurring signs; they often indicate the same demon type.

Holy Relics
You start with six relics—Crucifix, Blessed Candles, Holy Water, Anointing Oil, Incense, and Salt—each featuring its own minigame to counter a demonic sign. As you travel, new relics may appear, offering decisive advantages in specific minigames.
Relic performance improves through upgrades earned from village offerings, giving you a growing edge against the demons.
- Experiment with each relic’s minigame early to understand its timing and pattern.
- Prioritize upgrades for relics you use most often.

Village Travel
Your Abbey serves as the sole holy refuge, and each chapter sends you to a different village. Every location introduces distinct scenarios, possessed villagers, and corrupted animals or land. The travel narrative links the exorcisms into a cohesive story.
Unique events in villages can reward powerful relics that once belonged to saints and martyrs, expanding your arsenal beyond the starting six.
- Observe each village’s environment for clues about the type of corruption present.
- Collect any relics offered during unique events; they may simplify later minigames.

Offerings and Upgrades
After freeing a village, its inhabitants give you offerings as gratitude. These offerings act as a currency to upgrade your relics, steadily increasing their effectiveness against demons.
Upgrading relics does not guarantee success, but it provides a measurable advantage, as you progress through the story.
- Save offerings for relics that struggle with current demon signs.
- Balance upgrades across relics to maintain flexibility.

Multiple Endings
Not every exorcism succeeds; some souls may be lost. The total number of lost souls and the choices you make throughout the game determine which ending you receive.
Your performance and decisions shape the narrative’s conclusion, encouraging careful consideration of each exorcism’s outcome.
- Aim for consistent success to reduce the count of lost souls.
- Reflect on choices that affect villagers’ fates; they influence the ending.
