About REYNATIS
REYNATIS is an action‑packed magical RPG set in a realistic recreation of modern‑day Shibuya, Tokyo. Two protagonists—wizard Marin Kirizumi, seeking freedom, and Sari Nishijima, defending order—clash over ideals amid a city where the Criminal Magic Response Act has been largely ignored. The game blends fast‑paced combat with free‑roaming exploration, letting players switch between characters, traverse the real‑world streets and the hidden magical realm called Another. It supports 4K resolution, high frame rates, full keyboard‑mouse controls, and is playable on Steam Deck.

Story and Setting
The narrative unfolds in 2024 Shibuya, where a law bans nighttime outings but is largely unenforced. Marin, a wizard oppressed since childhood, follows his father's words to become the strongest and gain freedom. Sari, newly aware of her magic, uses it to enforce her own sense of justice, protecting the city from dangerous ideals and drug‑induced monsters. Their meeting sparks a larger conflict that threatens to transform the world, intertwining personal motives with the city's chaotic magic‑filled streets.

Battle System
Combat revolves around Suppressed and Liberated states. In Suppressed Mode you cannot attack but can dodge enemy hits with a single button. Liberated Mode lets you unleash attacks while removing the ability to defend, making timing crucial. Players may instantly switch among up to three characters, each offering unique abilities, to adapt to battle conditions. Strategic use of the two modes and character swaps creates opportunities for high‑impact actions and defensive maneuvers.
- Practice timing switches between Suppressed and Liberated to maximize damage while staying safe.
- Experiment with different character combos to discover synergistic abilities.

Exploration
Shibuya’s real‑world landmarks, such as SHIBUYA109, are faithfully recreated for on‑foot wandering. While in Suppressed Mode your wizard identity stays hidden, allowing conversations with civilians that can yield tips and new quests. In Liberated Mode you travel faster using magic, but risk civilian reports that summon the M.E.A. for pursuit. Exploration rewards both narrative depth and optional objectives, encouraging players to balance stealth and speed.
- Talk to civilians in Suppressed Mode to uncover hidden side quests.
- Weigh the speed advantage of Liberated Mode against the chance of attracting M.E.A. attention.

Another Realm
Fog‑filled pockets in Shibuya act as gateways to Another, a magical alternate world accessible only to wizards. This realm, overseen by the anti‑government Guild, is populated by monsters and features forests, factories, and museums. Non‑magic users cannot enter, and the ambient magic fuels the hostile environment. Another offers a distinct visual and gameplay contrast, expanding the game’s scope beyond the city streets.
- Use the Guild’s presence as a narrative clue for where fog portals may appear.
- Observe environmental differences between Shibuya and Another to anticipate enemy types.
