About Resident Evil Revelations 2
Resident Evil Revelations 2 continues the series' survival-horror legacy with two intertwined campaigns. Claire Redfield and Moira Burton awaken in an abandoned detention facility, while Barry Burton and the young Natalia Korda search a remote prison island for Barry's missing daughter. The story unfolds through weekly episodic releases or a Complete Season bundle, each episode ending with a cliffhanger.
Co-op play is built into the design: players switch between the paired characters to solve puzzles and manage limited ammo. New enemy types such as the Rotten, whose bones are visible, and the Revenant, assembled from human parts, reinforce the classic tension of limited resources.

Story Campaigns
The game delivers two full playable scenarios per episode—one for Claire & Moira and one for Barry & Natalia. Each scenario follows the characters as they explore a dark facility or a remote island, searching for missing persons and uncovering the purpose of the location.
Every episode concludes with a dramatic cliffhanger that sets up the next weekly download. This structure mirrors the original Revelations episodic format while adding bonus content for players who purchase the Complete Season or Full Bundle.
- Watch dialogue for hints about hidden routes.
- Note when a scenario ends to anticipate the next episode's premise.

Enemy Types
New foes appear in the game, including the Rotten—creatures whose bones are visible through their bodies—and the Revenant, which are formed from parts of human beings sewn together. Both enemy types pursue the player without hesitation.
Their presence reinforces the survival-horror emphasis on careful navigation and limited ammunition, encouraging players to consider avoidance as well as combat.
- Conserve ammunition; some encounters can be bypassed.
- Use environmental obstacles to block enemy paths when possible.

Co-op Mechanics
Players must alternate between the paired characters—Claire & Moira or Barry & Natalia—to progress. Each character brings a distinct narrative perspective, and switching is required to solve certain puzzles and advance the story.
The Steam listing includes shared/split-screen co-op among its features and lists full controller support. Online co-op for Raid mode is slated for a later update.
- Coordinate swaps with a partner to keep inventory balanced.
- Plan character changes before entering areas with multiple obstacles.

Raid Mode
Beyond the story, Raid mode offers fast-action combat across more than 200 stages and features 15 playable characters. The mode adds new weapons, weapon parts, difficulty levels, and stages from earlier Resident Evil titles.
A deeper progression mechanic and four times as many character skills as in the original Revelations give players additional ways to develop their characters as they tackle increasingly challenging stages.
- Experiment with different character skill combinations for tougher stages.
- Upgrade weapons early to handle higher difficulty levels.
