About Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-
Record of Lodoss War ~Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth~ is a 2D action-exploration title in the Metroidvania style, developed under the close supervision of original creator Ryo Mizuno. It depicts a previously unknown chapter of Deedlit's story and the events leading up to Record of Lodoss War: Diadem of the Covenant, and is designed to be enjoyable for longtime series fans and newcomers alike. The Steam listing offers single-player play on Windows, along with Steam achievements, partial controller support, Steam Cloud, and family sharing.
In combat, players wield a sword for close-range strikes and a bow for projectile attacks against distant enemies. Equipment can be swapped freely, and unneeded weapons can be sold. Deedlit can also alternate among elemental spirits that change her attributes, and she raises their levels by absorbing the Soul Screams that enemies release when attacked and defeated. Once a spirit reaches level 3, her HP recovers automatically, adding a strategic layer to combat and exploration.
01 / THE GUIDE
Story Introduction
Deedlit awakens alone in a mysterious, unknown place, and her questions are met with silence. The opening premise asks, “Where am I? Why am I here?”, establishing a solitary quest for answers.
She sets off on foot to seek the cause of her displacement, with the narrative unfolding toward the events that precede Record of Lodoss War: Diadem of the Covenant.

Combat Mechanics
The game offers two primary attack types: melee sword strikes for enemies within range and bow-fired arrows for foes farther away. Both can be swapped freely as you acquire new weapons.
Weapons you no longer need can be sold, allowing inventory management and resource allocation during the adventure.
- Switch between sword and bow based on enemy distance to conserve resources.
- Sell unused weapons to free space for new gear.

Elemental Spirits
Deedlit can alternate among elemental spirits, each affecting her attributes. For example, while the wind spirit Sylph is active, wind-based attacks do less damage, and with the flame spirit Salamander in use, fire-based attacks are reduced.
Spirit levels increase by absorbing the Soul Screams enemies release when attacked and defeated, and each spirit's level is displayed as Deed's own power level.
- Match the active spirit to enemy element types for defensive advantage.
- Focus on defeating enemies quickly to gather Soul Screams and raise spirit levels.

Spirit Level Recovery
When an elemental spirit reaches its maximum level of 3, the game automatically restores Deedlit's HP. This mechanic rewards players for fully developing a spirit.
The HP recovery occurs without additional input, encouraging players to invest in spirit progression.
- Prioritize raising a single spirit to level 3 for reliable healing.
- Balance spirit upgrades with combat needs to avoid over-reliance on a single element.
