About Rabi-Ribi
Rabi‑Ribi is a 2D sidescrolling exploration platformer starring Erina, a rabbit transformed into a human with rabbit ears, and her fairy companion Ribbon. The game encourages players to wander freely, discover hidden items, and upgrade abilities without mandatory guidance.
Beyond the main adventure, the title offers a wealth of content: dozens of areas, over forty bosses, a post‑game Speedrun mode, and multiple difficulty settings. It runs on Windows with full controller support and provides English, Chinese, and Japanese language options.
01 / THE GUIDE
Gameplay and Exploration
Players directly control Erina, whose combat is focused on close‑quarters attacks, while Ribbon follows and provides ranged support that the player influences indirectly. Both characters can learn new skills by collecting items and upgrades scattered throughout the world.
The game supplies occasional hints but never forces a specific route, allowing non‑linear exploration of over 60 items and upgrades. Players may decide which trinkets to collect before tackling harder sections, such as hard mode without any items.
- Try different upgrade combinations to see how they affect Erina’s melee and Ribbon’s ranged attacks.
- Use Ribbon’s ranged attacks to scout ahead before committing Erina to close combat.

Difficulty Settings
Rabi‑Ribi includes 4+n difficulty settings, giving players a range from casual to highly challenging experiences. The settings are designed to suit all types of players, letting each player match the challenge to their skill level.
Players can also replay content at a new challenge level after collecting most upgrades.
- Begin on a lower difficulty to learn enemy patterns before moving up.
- Attempt a higher difficulty after gathering upgrades for an extra test of skill.

World Areas and Sub‑areas
The game features 9+ main areas and 20+ sub‑areas, each with its own visual theme, enemies, and platforming challenges. New abilities often open previously unreachable paths, encouraging back‑tracking.
Hidden items and upgrades are distributed throughout these zones, rewarding thorough exploration and careful observation of the environment.
- Mark locations where doors appear locked; a later skill may open them.
- Revisit earlier zones after gaining upgrades to uncover hidden secrets.

Boss Battles and Boss Rush Mode
Rabi‑Ribi contains over 40 boss battles with more than 1000 distinct attack patterns. The game features illustrated cutscene artwork, and these encounters test the player’s timing and pattern recognition.
Boss Rush Mode lets players face a selection—or the entire roster—of bosses consecutively, providing an endurance challenge for players who take it on.
- Observe the first few patterns of a boss before committing to aggressive attacks.
- Use Boss Rush to practice specific bosses you find difficult.

Post‑Game Content and Speedrun Mode
After completing the main story, the game unlocks additional narrative scenes and a Speedrun mode. This mode removes sections where the player cannot control Erina, creating a continuous run focused on skillful navigation and combat.
Speedrun mode offers a fresh way to experience the platforming challenges without narrative interruptions, appealing to players who enjoy optimizing their playthroughs.
- Practice the most difficult platforming sections in normal mode before attempting Speedrun.
- Watch community runs to learn efficient routes and timing tricks.
