Original Versions
The anniversary package includes the 2012 version of Q.U.B.E., now featuring improved visuals, new puzzles, and gameplay tweaks drawn from player feedback. This version retains the core first‑person mechanics while looking sharper.
It also bundles the 2014 Director’s Cut, which adds a voice‑over narrative and a revised soundtrack. Both versions run with the same updated graphics engine, letting players choose their preferred experience.
- Compare the narrative tone of the Director’s Cut to the silent original for a different atmosphere.
- Notice how the visual upgrades affect puzzle readability in both versions.

Q.U.B.E. Create Level Editor
The included Q.U.B.E. Create tool lets players design custom puzzles using duplicated, translated, rotated, and scaled objects. An object list and category filters (Puzzle, Geometry, Props, Lights) streamline placement.
Creators can attach, connect, and activate objects, adjust properties, select music, and modify lighting before publishing to the Steam Workshop, where others can download and play them.
- Start with simple geometry to learn the editor’s transformation controls.
- Experiment with lighting presets to see how they affect puzzle ambience.

Collectibles & Colour‑Blind Support
Across the eight levels, players can locate 46 collectibles, providing optional goals beyond puzzle completion. Full colour‑blind support uses symbols as a colour aid to help players read puzzle cues.
Collectibles are optional goals for completionists to track down beyond the main puzzles.
- Use the symbol overlay when colour cues feel ambiguous.
- Keep your own notes on collectibles found in each level to gauge progress.
