About Project KILLDANCE
Project KILLDANCE is a noir‑styled tactical action title born from Toge Productions’ 2023 internal game jam. Players assume the role of a spectral assassin, executing missions with a one‑army strategy and instant‑death combat.
The game emphasizes careful planning: you arrange movement and select attack cards while time freezes, then act to dodge bullets, take cover and eliminate foes. After each stage you can replay your performance to review the KILLDANCE.

Gameplay Mechanics
The core loop requires you to slowly observe your surroundings, plan movement and perform attack cards to clear each stage. Combat is instant‑death, so positioning and timing are crucial. Time is frozen between your actions, giving a window to dodge bullets, take cover and execute kills effectively.
- Take a moment to survey enemy patterns before committing to a move.
- Use the frozen interval to reposition for a cleaner attack.

Card System
Players draft new cards to learn new skills and adapt to missions. Each card represents a specific attack or maneuver you can execute during the frozen phase. The system encourages experimentation, letting you tailor your approach to each stage’s challenges.
- Mix offensive and defensive cards to maintain flexibility.
- Review which cards succeeded in previous runs to refine your deck.

Time‑Freeze Feature
Between actions, time stops, creating a tactical pause. This allows you to dodge incoming fire and reposition without real‑time pressure. The freeze is integral to the game's noir tactical feel, turning each encounter into a choreographed sequence.
- Use the freeze to line up a perfect shot before enemies react.
- Plan cover routes during the pause to minimize exposure.

Replay Mode
After completing a mission, you can replay your performance and watch your KILLDANCE. This feature lets you analyze each decision and improve future runs. The replay is a visual record, not a separate gameplay mode, serving as a learning tool.
- Watch replays to spot missed cover opportunities.
- Note timing of attacks to fine‑tune card usage.
