About Pro Cycling Manager 26
Pro Cycling Manager 26 expands strategic depth by revamping how you organise a season. You can define a hierarchy, give each rider a role, and group the roster by specialisation or flexibility, then match those groups to races that carry one of four importance tags.
The update also adds a refined day‑form model, two distinct race‑simulation paths, new options for a Pro Cyclist career, and several career‑mode tweaks such as retired riders becoming staff and lower‑division squads receiving automatic major‑race slots.

Season Planning Overhaul
The planning screen now lets you sort riders by their specialisation or by how adaptable they are, and you can assign a concrete role to each athlete. Every event on the calendar is marked with one of four priority levels, guiding where you place your strongest assets.
At the beginning of the year the game generates a baseline schedule that you may edit to suit your objectives and any constraints you have. AI opponents use the same tools, and unexpected setbacks such as crashes, illness or loss of form may require you to adjust a leader’s programme during the season.
- Compare rider specialisations before allocating them to high‑priority races.
- Keep an alternative leader ready in case a scheduled rider becomes unavailable.

Day‑Form System
Two new attributes—Tour Focus and Classics Focus—determine how consistently a rider performs on the days they race. A Grand Tour contender with high Tour Focus will show steadier results across multi‑stage events, while a Classics specialist with high Classics Focus will be more reliable in one‑day races.
Riders whose profiles are less predictable can swing between strong and weak performances. These attributes evolve as the rider’s calendar changes, meaning the races you select for them will shape their long‑term development.
- Align a rider’s focus attribute with the type of race you intend them to target.
- Monitor how the attributes shift after adding or removing events from a rider’s schedule.

Race Simulation Options
Detailed Simulation runs the full 3‑D engine without showing graphics, delivering highly realistic results in a few seconds for players who prefer consistency. It calculates the entire race behind the scenes, offering a deeper statistical outcome.
Instant Result, the former system, remains available for quicker turn‑around. You can decide per race whether to favour speed with Instant Result or realism with Detailed Simulation.
- Choose Detailed Simulation for key races where outcome fidelity matters.
- Use Instant Result for routine events to reduce waiting time.

Pro Cyclist Career Options
When starting a Pro Cyclist career you may either build a new rider that resembles you or take control of an existing professional. Selecting a real‑world athlete begins you at a higher baseline, letting you distribute initial skill points to match your preferred approach.
The contract system has been refreshed, providing quicker routes to top‑tier teams and clearer pathways to the sport’s biggest races. An extra game option lets you modify how quickly the Pro Cyclist gains experience.
- Allocate skill points to reinforce the rider’s existing strengths.
- Experiment with the experience‑gain setting to suit your desired pacing.

Additional Gameplay Updates
Retired cyclists can now stay involved as coaches or scouts, extending their influence on team development. The team’s identity may also evolve, including the ability to switch nationality during the off‑season.
Regulation changes give three second‑division squads automatic invitations to major calendar events, and a new option lets you fine‑tune Pro Cyclist progression and experience acquisition.
- Consider hiring a retired rider as a scout to broaden talent scouting.
- Use the nationality change to align your team’s branding with your goals.
