About POSTAL Redux

POSTAL Redux revives the classic twin‑stick isometric shooter in high definition, keeping the dark humor and chaotic violence while delivering remastered visuals, music, sounds, and dialogue. Players follow the Postal Dude through a town filled with hostile gunmen, using a varied arsenal to survive each encounter.

The remake adds online features: cooperative play for up to four friends, free‑for‑all deathmatches for eight, and a new Rampage mode that scores sustained kill streaks and creative destruction. All original levels and add‑on content are combined into a 23‑level campaign.

01 / THE GUIDE

Classic Campaign

The single‑player campaign spans 17 levels, starting at the Dude’s Home and moving through The Mine, Trailer Park, The Ghetto, The City, and a final showdown at the Air Force Base, with an all‑new Carnival level added.

All original add‑ons are integrated, including EZ Mart, Shanty Town, Earthquake, La Palamino Resort, and the Tokyo and Osaka locations from Super POSTAL, forming a combined 23‑level Excess Postage experience.

  • Notice how each environment introduces new enemy types; this can guide which weapons feel most effective.
  • Observe level layout differences—tight corridors favor close‑range tools, while open areas reward explosives.

02 / THE GUIDE

Online Co‑op

Up to four players can join online to tackle the campaign and add‑on levels together, sharing firepower against the town’s hostile inhabitants.

Co‑op lets friends coordinate attacks and cover each other while playing through the game’s levels together.

  • Communicate enemy positions early; the variety of foes can overwhelm a lone player.
  • Distribute weapons among teammates to balance close‑range and long‑range threats.

03 / THE GUIDE

Online Deathmatch

Free‑for‑all deathmatch pits up to eight players against each other in frantic combat, testing reflexes and weapon mastery in a shared arena.

Matches focus on pure kill competition without campaign objectives, providing an unstructured arena for fast‑paced action.

  • Prioritize high‑damage weapons early to secure quick kills.
  • Stay mobile to reduce incoming fire from opponents.

04 / THE GUIDE

Rampage Mode

Rampage is a score‑focused mode that awards points for sustained kill streaks, creative destruction, and rapid action, encouraging players to chain kills and experiment with the full arsenal.

The mode rewards varied kill methods, so experimenting with different weapons may help you earn points for creative destruction.

  • Try varied methods of destruction to chase the creative-destruction points Rampage awards.
  • Maintain momentum; pauses can break streaks and lower your score.

05 / THE GUIDE

Weapons and Enemy Types

Players have access to up to ten weapons of destruction, including the Shotgun, Spray Cannon, Molotovs, Flamethrower, Napalm Launcher, Grenades, Rocket Launcher, varied Mines, and the new Revolver, each offering distinct capabilities.

Enemies range from gun‑crazy Vigilantes and trigger‑happy Police Officers to SWAT, Military squads, a marching band, and angry ostriches, providing varied combat challenges.

  • Match weapon range to enemy type; explosives excel against groups, while the Revolver shines in duels.
  • Use mines to control choke points against faster foes.
