About Polylithic
Polylithic drops you into a low‑poly Stone Age where you act as tribe leader. You must hunt, forage, craft primitive tools, tame companions and guide your people from nomadic hunter‑gatherers toward the first permanent Neolithic settlements.
The game offers a story‑driven single‑player experience and an online co‑op mode that lets friends join the tribe. Together you can share resources, coordinate hunts, build settlements, or simply explore the sandbox mode’s infinitely generated world.
01 / THE GUIDE
Tribe Management
As village leader you manage each tribe member’s needs, grow the settlement and steer the community toward the Neolithic Revolution. Members work, age into Elders and gradually construct a fledgling civilization.
Enemy tribes exist with their own ideas about prehistory, creating conflict that forces you to balance work, food and shelter to keep your people thriving.
- Watch tribe members work and age into Elders as your settlement grows.
- Compare the resource consumption of different tribe roles to spot bottlenecks.
02 / THE GUIDE
Resource Gathering & Hunting
The world is indifferent; you must forage across tall forests, snow‑dusted hills and rapids for materials. Hunting ranges from rabbits to mammoths, each presenting a distinct challenge.
Collected resources feed crafting, cooking and settlement building, while successful hunts keep the tribe fed, rested and functional.
- Track which animal types yield the most useful materials.
- Visit varied biomes to diversify your foraging supplies.

03 / THE GUIDE
Crafting and Cooking
You can craft the earliest tools in human history and experiment with a cooking system that generates recipes with predictably unpredictable results. Crafting tools is a core part of survival, while cooking improves nourishment.
Both systems rely on gathered resources as you keep your body fed, rested and functional.
- Try crafting different tools as you progress through the evolving tech tree.
- Compare cooking outcomes to identify consistently beneficial meals.

Animal Companions
You can tame a dog or a hyena; both are loyal, eat, heal, follow commands and will judge your decisions. Companions follow commands and stay by your side as you survive.
Each companion type has a slightly different demeanor, offering varied experiences while still providing food, healing and obedience.
- Observe how each companion reacts to different commands.
- Compare the healing rates of the dog versus the hyena.

Multiplayer Co‑op
Online co‑op lets friends join your Stone Age tribe. Players can share resources, coordinate hunts and build together, or act independently within the same settlement.
Co‑op play makes each survival story unique and can ease the difficulty of managing tribe needs by distributing tasks among participants.
- Coordinate hunting times to maximize shared loot.
- Compare individual contributions to identify each player’s strengths.
