Kinetic Novel Format
planetarian HD is described as a kinetic novel, a form of entertainment focused solely on storytelling. It provides no branching paths or player decisions, aiming for a strong sense of presence through scenario, graphics, and music.
The linear structure means the narrative proceeds uninterrupted from start to finish. This design distinguishes it from visual novels that may include choices or multiple endings, delivering a single, cohesive story experience.
- Treat the experience as a continuous story rather than a game with goals.
- Pay attention to pacing of text and visuals for immersion.
