About Pit People
Pit People® is a fast‑paced, turn‑based strategy game where a quirky cast of heroes battles through an apocalyptic wonderland filled with robots, vampires and cupcake people. Players position units, complete quests, collect loot and customize fighters while the game’s signature Behemoth art style adds humor to every encounter.
The title offers a single‑player story, local and online co‑op story, and a 2v2 arena that can be played split‑screen or online. An optional permadeath mode adds permanent‑death consequences, and the Windows release includes full controller support, Steam Cloud, achievements and Remote Play features.

single-player story mode
The game includes a dedicated single‑player story where you guide a roster of unique heroes across over 100 quests and missions. Fallen heroes can be remembered through detailed obituaries that note their name, level and kill count.
After the introductory segment, the story can continue by inviting another player who possesses the required story character. This allows the story to continue in co‑op with another player.

2‑player co‑op story
Pit People® supports both local and online co‑op for the story campaign, letting two players share the same screen or connect remotely. The co‑op experience uses the same quests, loot and unlocks as solo play.
Co‑op can be accessed after the intro, and the invited player must possess the needed story character to join the ongoing narrative, ensuring that each player can contribute appropriate heroes.

permadeath feature
When enabled, permadeath makes any character that dies permanently unavailable for the remainder of the campaign. Resurrection items are disabled, and each dead hero’s obituary records their final stats.
If all characters are lost, the saved game is permanently destroyed, preventing further progress without starting anew. This mode only activates after the introductory segment.
- Prioritize low‑risk heroes for early missions to preserve your roster.
- Monitor remaining party size to avoid accidental save destruction.

local 2v2 arena
Pit People® offers a 2v2 arena mode for up to four players, playable locally or online. Teams compete in fast matches.
The arena supports split‑screen play, allowing two players per side to share a single display while battling opponents, which keeps all participants visible on one screen.
