About Pilgrims
Pilgrims is a playful adventure created by Amanita Design, the studio behind Machinarium and Samorost. The game lets you wander a whimsical world, meet quirky characters, and help them finish tiny stories without a forced sequence. Its tone encourages experimentation and humor rather than a single “beat‑the‑game” goal.
The experience is built on hand‑crafted animations, original music by Floex, and a set of 45 Steam achievements that reward curiosity. Because solutions are open‑ended, each playthrough can reveal new interactions, making the title suitable for repeated exploration.

Playful Exploration
The core loop invites you to roam the land at will, interact with dozens of items, and converse with unique characters. No single path is prescribed, so each task can be approached from multiple angles, turning problem‑solving into a light‑hearted experiment.
Because the game does not require a specific solution, unexpected item combinations often trigger humorous outcomes. Observing how characters react to different actions can hint at hidden possibilities and keep each session feeling fresh.
- Try using items in unconventional ways to discover hidden reactions.
- Watch character dialogue for subtle clues about alternative approaches.

Achievements & Replayability
Pilgrims includes 45 Steam achievements that are unlocked by completing tasks, finding hidden interactions, or exploring alternative solutions. The achievement list encourages players to revisit areas with new ideas, extending the game's lifespan beyond a single run.
Since many achievements depend on discovering optional content, the game naturally supports multiple playthroughs. Tracking which achievements remain can guide you toward parts of the world you have not yet examined.
- Keep a simple list of achievements you have yet to earn.
- Return to earlier locations after acquiring new items to see if new options appear.

Hand‑Crafted Appeal
Hundreds of custom animations and sound effects give each character and object a distinct personality. These details often produce surprising visual or auditory moments that reward careful observation.

- Watch character animations closely for tiny gestures that may indicate extra options.
- Listen for distinct sound cues that could signal a secret interaction.

Original Music
Floex, known for work on Machinarium and Samorost 3, composed the soundtrack using live instruments blended with organic electronics. Guest musicians contribute guitar or clarinet parts on select tracks.
The music adapts to the whimsical tone of each area, adding an auditory layer that complements the visual humor and reinforces the sense of adventure.
- Notice how musical themes shift when you move between locations.
- Pay attention to guest instrument moments; they often highlight key scenes.
