About People Playground

People Playground lets you experiment with ragdolls using a wide range of violent actions, from shooting and stabbing to burning and crushing. The ragdolls appear simple externally but hide detailed internal systems you can manipulate.

Every object carries its own physical traits—weight, sharpness, conductivity, and more—while the engine models temperature, electricity, and rigid‑body dynamics, producing emergent results that often surprise players.

01 / THE GUIDE

Ragdoll Interaction Mechanics

The game offers direct actions such as shooting, stabbing, burning, poisoning, tearing, vaporising, or crushing ragdolls. These actions affect the external form and can trigger internal responses.

Players can also replace a ragdoll’s blood with nitroglycerine or submerge its head to cause asphyxiation, extending the range of possible outcomes.

  • Try different weapon types today.
  • Observe blood replacement effects closely.

02 / THE GUIDE

Object Physical Property System

Each item in People Playground defines a set of physical attributes such as weight, sharpness, thermal and electrical conductivity, ferromagnetism, heat capacity, and bullet resistance. These values influence how objects interact during collisions and tool use.

Thus a heavy magnetized block reacts unlike a light non‑conductive piece, enabling nuanced builds.

  • Test contrasting conductivity for results.
  • Combine heavy and light items.

03 / THE GUIDE

Temperature and Electricity Simulation

People Playground simulates temperature and heat transfer both through solid objects and the surrounding air, allowing fire and cooling effects to spread realistically.

Electrical currents also travel according to conductivity values, and the rigid‑body dynamics engine handles collisions, creating complex emergent scenarios.

  • Create simple circuits with metal.
  • Watch heat spread on metal.

04 / THE GUIDE

Building Contraptions and Workshop

Beyond ragdoll cruelty, the game encourages constructing devices such as airplanes, walkers, bases, doors, shields, computers, and weaponry, using the available items.

Players can download additional creations from the Steam Workshop or create their own mods, expanding the toy box beyond the base inventory.

  • Browse Workshop for ready machines.
  • Start simple, then add complexity.

Platform Availability and Community Features

People Playground is released for Windows and supports single‑player sessions, Steam Achievements, Trading Cards, Cloud saves, and Family Sharing, integrating with the Steam ecosystem.

The Steam Workshop serves as a hub for user‑generated items and mods, allowing the community to share and download new content that broadens gameplay.

  • Enable Cloud to sync progress.
  • Collect Trading Cards for fun.
