About People of Note
People of Note is a single‑player RPG where pop singer Cadence travels across the world of Note, recruiting musicians while confronting the Harmonic Convergence that threatens musical harmony. The story follows her journey from the Rock City of Durandis to the EDM City of Lumina and beyond.
Battles are presented as turn‑based musical performances that react to the soundtrack. Players time attacks to the beat for amplified damage, adapt to shifting genres, and combine band members’ styles for mash‑up attacks, all within a fully customizable experience.

Turn‑Based Musical Combat
Combat proceeds in turns, but each attack is linked to the music’s rhythm. When an attack lands on the beat, the description notes that damage is amplified, encouraging players to listen for timing cues.
The soundtrack changes in real time, altering the genre that underlies each encounter. By aligning attacks with the current genre, players can trigger special mash‑up moves that combine the musical styles of their band members.
- Watch the visual beat indicator before selecting an attack to maximize damage.
- Try different band line‑ups to discover which genre combinations unlock mash‑up attacks.
