About Pacify
Pacify drops you into a century‑old funeral‑parlor house where PAH Inc. interns must investigate rumors of a cursed little girl. The story explains that a failed ritual caused disappearances, and the house now needs proof of safety before it can be sold.
You can explore the house alone or with up to three friends. The game challenges you to stay quiet, avoid the girl’s sight, and use scattered keys, dolls, wood and matches to pacify the evil and escape.

Mission Narrative
Your first assignment for PAH Inc. is to verify an old haunted house that once housed a funeral parlor. The backstory notes that a special ritual to speak with the dead went wrong, leading to disappearances and sightings of a little girl in the window.
The broker wants evidence that the house is safe before selling it, so you must explore, collect clues, and report any supernatural activity back to PAH Inc. The narrative frames each room as a potential source of proof.
- Read every note you find; they often hint at the girl’s behavior changes.
- Keep the house’s history in mind to anticipate where the girl may appear.

Core Gameplay
Players run through narrow corridors while a little girl switches between good and evil. When she is evil, she chases you, becoming faster and smarter as the match continues. Staying out of sight and moving quietly reduces the chance of detection.
Scattered items—keys, dolls, wood and matches—can be collected and used to unlock doors or aid in pacifying the girl. Managing these resources is essential, especially when playing alone, because you must perform the work of multiple teammates.
- Move slowly and avoid the girl’s line‑of‑sight to delay her pursuit.
- Collect and use items early; they become crucial as the girl’s speed increases.

Multiplayer Modes
Pacify supports up to four players. In Co‑Op mode teammates work together to escape, and they can interrupt the girl when she catches someone. In PvP mode each intern competes for the most work completed, pushing rivals to stun them.
Both modes can be played online and support cross‑platform play between Windows and macOS. Pushing a player stuns them for five seconds and makes them drop any keys they are carrying.
- Interrupt the girl quickly when she catches a teammate to keep the group moving.
- Use the stun mechanic strategically in PvP to delay opponents.

Items and Clues
Keys unlock doors, dolls are used in pacifying rituals, and wood with matches can create light or fire barriers. Notes placed throughout the house give hints on how each item should be applied to progress.
Because single‑player requires you to handle the tasks of multiple teammates, locating and using these items efficiently becomes a central challenge.
- Prioritize finding keys to keep routes open.
- Follow note clues to use dolls and wood correctly.

Proximity Voice Chat
The game includes a proximity voice chat system that activates in certain situations or environments. Special voice‑changing effects are applied, adding atmospheric tension when players are near each other or the girl.
Voice chat is optional and works alongside full controller support, online multiplayer and Steam features without altering the core escape mechanics.
- Speak softly in voice chat to avoid drawing the girl’s attention.
- Use voice effects to signal teammates when you discover a clue.
