About Overlord II
Overlord II returns the chaotic Minions and a new Dark Master, expanding the world with a Glorious Empire to crush and a Netherworld to revive. The sequel adds Minion mounts, war machines, and a trio of mistresses, while keeping the series’ signature blend of humor and mayhem.
Players can choose between Domination and Destruction playstyles, letting them enslave villages or raze landscapes at will. Four distinct Minion colours each bring unique combat roles, and the single‑player experience supports Family Sharing for multiple accounts on the same device.
01 / THE GUIDE
Minion Types
The game introduces four new Minion flavours. Browns act as brutal brawlers, solving problems with teeth and fists. Reds serve as artillery, enjoying fireball‑based catch games. Greens operate as stealthy assassins, silent and deadly. Blues cannot fight but can resurrect fallen Minions, adding a support role to the roster.
- Mix colours to balance offense and support during large battles.
- Use Blues after heavy fights to replenish your Minion ranks.

Overlord Playstyles
Domination style lets you turn humanity into a plaything, harvesting village labour while driving the Glorious Empire away. Destruction style lets you raze cities, forests, and Imperial camps simply because they “looked at you funny.” Both styles provide distinct ways to experience the game’s chaotic freedom, whether you prefer systematic control or pure mayhem.
- Try Domination first to build a steady resource base.
- Switch to Destruction for a quick, satisfying release of tension.

Enemies and Victims
The primary foes are the Glorious Empire’s brave, highly flammable ranks, offering large battalion encounters. Additional enemy types include Yetis, Elves, villagers, and “annoyingly cute indigenous species.” These varied opponents keep combat fresh, ranging from human soldiers to fantastical creatures.
- Target larger Empire battalions first to thin enemy numbers quickly.
- Observe creature behaviours; some may be easier to dispatch with specific Minion colours.

War Machines and Minion Mounts
Minions can ride wolves and other magical creatures into battle, providing mobility and a tactical edge. They also operate fearsome war machines, adding heavy firepower to assaults. These tools let you diversify attacks, whether you need speed, brute force, or ranged devastation.
- Combine mounts with artillery Reds for fast, ranged strikes.
- Deploy war machines when facing fortified Imperial camps.

Single‑Player and Family Sharing
Overlord II is a single‑player experience, allowing you to progress through the story alone. The game also supports Family Sharing, enabling multiple accounts on the same device to access the title. These features ensure that the game can be enjoyed individually or passed between family members without additional purchases.
- Use Family Sharing to let a sibling try a different playstyle.
- Try a different playstyle when another family member takes a turn.
