About Overload Playable Teaser 3.0
Overload is a six‑degree‑of‑freedom shooter presented as an Early Access playable teaser. The demo offers a training corridor, a single‑player “destroy the reactor” mission, and two Challenge Mode arenas that showcase the game's full‑3D combat and enemy waves.
The full release, scheduled for May 31 2018, will add a story campaign of fifteen‑plus atmospheric levels, an upgradeable ship, twelve‑plus weapons, more than a dozen robot types, three bosses, multiplayer modes, and a post‑release level editor for community‑made stages.
02 / THE GUIDE
Challenge Mode Levels
Two Challenge Mode levels are included, each placing the player against a horde of robot enemies. These arenas focus on horde combat rather than narrative goals, highlighting the game's fast‑paced shooting mechanics.
The description notes future additions such as a Countdown variant and online leaderboards, showing that the current levels serve as a preview of a broader competitive system planned for the full release.
- Track your score at the end of each run to gauge improvement.
- Experiment with different weapons to see which handle dense enemy waves best.

03 / THE GUIDE
Upgradeable Ship and Weapons
The full game will feature an upgradeable player ship and more than twelve weapons, each offering multiple upgrade options. This promises a degree of customization for combat style once the game leaves Early Access.
The playable teaser does not expose any upgrade mechanics, but the listed feature confirms those systems will be added later, so the demo’s weapons represent a baseline for future enhancements.
- Test each demo weapon to note its firing pattern and damage feel.
- Consider how a weapon’s baseline performance might benefit from later upgrades.

Robots and Bosses
Overload will include more than a dozen unique robot types with variants, plus three massive bosses. These enemies are intended to provide varied challenges throughout the campaign and multiplayer modes.
The demo’s enemy waves give a glimpse of robot designs that will appear in larger numbers later, offering a preview of the visual and behavioral diversity promised for the full game.
- Watch robot attack patterns to learn safe evasion routes.
- Reserve high‑damage weapons for tougher robot variants that may appear later.

Custom Level Editor (Post‑Release)
After the full release, an easy‑to‑use custom Level Editor will allow players to build and share their own stages. This tool is intended to extend replayability through community‑created content.
The editor is not part of the current teaser; its presence is listed only as a post‑release feature, so no editing capabilities exist in the demo at this time.
- When the editor becomes available, review community levels to understand common design practices.
- Sketch simple level layouts now; they can be transferred into the editor later.
