About OddFauna : Secret of the Terrabeast

OddFauna: Secret of the Terrabeast is a hand‑sculpted sandbox adventure where you live on the back of a living world called a TerraBeast. As an Astor you nurture flora, fauna and terrain, turning the creature’s back into a thriving biome.

The game mixes exploration, crafting and terraforming in colorful clay‑styled environments. You befriend odd beasts, grow crops, build shelters and watch the TerraBeast expand, unlocking new abilities as you progress.

01 / THE GUIDE

Astor and the TerraBeast

You play as an Astor, a tiny but mighty beast that forms a special bond with a living world called a TerraBeast. The TerraBeast starts small and grows as you add flora, fauna and structures to its back.

Each increase in the TerraBeast’s size lets it support more life and unlock new abilities, which in turn lets it host a wider variety of OddFauna.

  • Observe how the silhouette of the TerraBeast expands after adding new terrain.
  • Note which abilities become available as the TerraBeast grows.

02 / THE GUIDE

Befriending OddFauna

The world is filled with OddFauna you can meet and befriend by offering their favorite treats. When a beast trusts you, it may give items, recipes, or join you as a party member.

Some beasts appear frequently, while rarer types require more exploration. Each beast’s preferences influence which environments you should cultivate to attract them.

  • Carry a variety of treats to increase the chance of befriending different beasts.
  • Watch which habitats draw specific beasts and adjust terrain accordingly.

03 / THE GUIDE

Exploring Biomes

Your TerraBeast can migrate to distinct biomes such as mountains, forests, grasslands and archipelagos. Each region introduces new OddFauna and forgeable items for discovery.

Some areas are marked as blighted; entering them without proper preparation can pose challenges, encouraging careful planning before migration.

  • Scout a new biome from a distance before moving the TerraBeast there.
  • Gather supplies like food and tools before venturing into blighted regions.

04 / THE GUIDE

Terraforming and Cultivation

You can sculpt the TerraBeast’s surface like clay—carve rivers, raise mountains, or create fields. Terrain choices affect which OddFauna are attracted; for example, Ovoks love forests while Logurs need lots of water.

A range of seeds is available for crops. You water them, tend them daily and harvest the bounty when ready.

  • Balance water sources and forested areas to attract a diverse set of beasts.
  • Plant different seed types in separate plots to compare growth outcomes.

05 / THE GUIDE

Crafting and Building

Forage and gather materials to craft tools, contraptions, accessories and structures at a crafting table. You can build simple shelters or larger houses using the resources you collect.

Crafted items let you shape the visual style of your living space on the TerraBeast’s back and can serve functional purposes such as protection or convenience.

  • Start with basic shelter components before attempting larger builds.
  • Experiment with different material combinations to see how they affect the final item.
