About Now THAT'S a Big Dragon!

Now THAT'S a Big Dragon! drops you into a kingdom threatened by a colossal dragon. You must recruit warriors, wizards, and adventurers, then send them to attack the beast while managing an ever‑growing economy.

The game is an idle, numbers‑driven experience: you buy troops, upgrade power, automate resources, and click the dragon for bonus damage. Progress is tracked with gold, wood, iron, and food, and the story ends when the dragon is defeated.

01 / THE GUIDE

Chapters

The game is divided into four chapters, each introducing new mechanics and chapter modifiers that change how your forces operate, letting you explore the incremental systems gradually.

The game offers plenty of upgrades and multiple characters with different skills, giving you more tools to increase damage and automation as you push toward the final showdown.

  • Test early chapter modifiers to see which boost resource generation the most.
  • Re‑enter earlier chapters after unlocking upgrades to notice improved efficiency.

02 / THE GUIDE

Upgrades

A wide array of upgrades is available to boost both troops and automation, affecting damage, resource speed, or character effectiveness.

Some upgrades interact through synergy, meaning certain combinations amplify overall progress, so choosing complementary upgrades can accelerate your numbers dramatically.

  • Prioritize upgrades that affect multiple resources for broader impact.
  • Look for upgrades that mention synergy to maximize combined effects.

03 / THE GUIDE

Multiple Characters

Automation is given a face through several characters, each bringing distinct skills that shape how your automation and combat develop.

Mixing characters with different skills lets you balance economy and damage, and their abilities can interact with upgrades for added benefit.

  • Combine characters whose skills cover both resource production and combat.
  • Swap characters after major upgrades to see if new synergies appear.

04 / THE GUIDE

Resources

Four core currencies—gold, wood, iron, and food—drive expansion; they are grown through your automated economy and spent on troops and upgrades.

Keeping all four resources balanced prevents bottlenecks, and different upgrades or characters can affect the progress or power of other game elements.

  • Monitor all four resources regularly to avoid hidden bottlenecks.
  • Focus your upgrades on keeping all four resources growing steadily.

05 / THE GUIDE

The Enemy Dragon

The dragon fights back with roar and fire attacks, challenging you to protect your forces while maintaining your economy.

Clicking the dragon provides bonus damage in addition to troop assaults, and defeating it ends the crisis, after which a new beginning lets you replay with fresh modifiers.

  • Click the dragon during fire attacks for extra damage.
  • Observe how the dragon’s attacks affect automation and adjust resource focus accordingly.
