About Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit drops you into Seacrest County, an open‑world area inspired by the California coastline that includes desert, forest, seaside and mountainous regions. You can drive high‑performance supercars or powerful cop interceptors while chasing or evading the law.
The game introduces dual careers, letting you play as a racer or a police officer. Progress is measured by bounty, which unlocks new cars, weapons and equipment, and the Autolog system links friends’ activities to create constantly shifting social challenges.

Dual Careers
For the first time in the series, Hot Pursuit offers full careers for both cops and racers. Players earn bounty that levels them up and unlocks new cars, weapons and equipment.
Both single‑player and online modes use this system, allowing you to pursue the top‑cop or most‑wanted‑racer titles while progressing through a personal career track.
- Complete bounty challenges early to unlock higher‑tier vehicles faster.
- Switch between cop and racer missions to diversify your unlocked gear.

The system updates continuously, so your gameplay experience evolves with your friends’ actions both in‑game and on the web.
- Check Autolog frequently for new friend‑generated challenges.

Vehicles, Weapons and Equipment
Hot Pursuit features world‑class supercars such as the Pagani Zonda Cinque and cop interceptors like the Lamborghini Reventon. Cop weapons include spike strips and road‑block support.
Racers can deploy jammers that block cop communications. Unlocks are tied to bounty earned, expanding your arsenal as you progress.
- Place spike strips at choke points to stop pursuers.
- Use jammers when being chased to disrupt cop tracking.
