About Nancy Drew: Alibi in Ashes

Nancy Drew®: Alibi in Ashes thrusts players into a fiery mystery in River Heights after a town‑hall contest turns into an arson investigation. As Nancy and her close friends, you must sift through clues, interrogate suspects, and clear Nancy’s name. The game offers two difficulty tiers, Junior and Senior Detective, and lets you explore familiar locations like the Drew home, the police lab, and a local ice‑cream parlor while gathering evidence to expose the true arsonist.

01 / THE GUIDE

Playable Characters

You can control Nancy Drew and also assume the roles of her friends Bess, George, and Ned during the investigation. Each character can ask questions, and the answers change depending on who is speaking. Switching characters lets you approach suspects from different angles, offering varied dialogue that can reveal new information.

  • Try using each friend to see how their questions affect suspect responses.
  • Observe which character’s line of questioning yields the most useful clues.

02 / THE GUIDE

Evidence Collection

The game centers on gathering physical evidence, such as fingerprints, which you can analyze at the local police lab. Collected items can be pinned to suspects to build a case. Evidence placement is crucial; linking the right clue to the right suspect advances the story toward uncovering the arsonist.

  • Document each fingerprint before moving on to avoid missing analysis opportunities.
  • Pin evidence to suspects only after confirming its relevance.

  • Check every corner of Nancy’s room for hidden items.
  • Stop by the ice‑cream parlor to order different flavors between investigation tasks.

Difficulty Levels

Players may select Junior or Senior Detective difficulty before starting. The chosen level influences puzzle complexity and the amount of guidance provided throughout the case. Both levels retain the core storyline, allowing you to experience the same narrative with a tailored challenge.

  • Begin with Junior if you prefer more hints during early puzzles.
  • Switch to Senior for a more demanding investigative experience.
