About My Time at Sandrock
My Time at Sandrock drops you into a desert city‑state 330 years after the Day of Calamity. As the newest Builder you inherit a rundown workshop and must use machines to process materials, craft items, and help the town recover.
The game mixes crafting, exploration, and combat while offering a story with hundreds of sidequests and over 30 new characters. Up to four players can join online co‑op to share building, battling, and mini‑games.
01 / THE GUIDE
Workshop Building
Your workshop starts in disrepair, but you can install an intricate set of machines to turn raw resources into processed parts. These parts are required for constructing larger structures that improve the town’s facilities.
The workshop also generates profit when you sell finished products. That profit can be spent on expanding the workshop, farming land, or other town improvements.
- Place machines close to storage to reduce travel time.
- Balance selling items with reinvesting in new machines.

Crafting & Items
At the worktable you can create hundreds of unique items. Crafted goods can decorate your homestead, serve as gifts for residents, or fulfill community requests that advance quests.
Many crafted items are also usable in combat or mini‑games, giving you additional options beyond basic weapons.
- Keep a variety of items on hand for different quests.
- Experiment with recipes to discover useful gifts.

Exploration & Ruins
The desert surrounding Sandrock contains ruins that hide Old World relics and hard‑to‑reach materials. Exploring these areas expands your resource pool and often reveals story details.
Resources gathered from ruins can be processed in your workshop or used directly in quests, helping you progress without relying solely on nearby supplies.
- Mark ruin entrances on your map before entering.
- Carry extra supplies for longer trips.

Combat System
Combat lets you shift quickly between melee attacks and third‑person shooting, allowing you to respond to different monster behaviors. New weapons and a defense‑break mechanic add tactical choices during fights.
You can also boost your stats, which influences how effectively you can use either combat style against tougher enemies.
- Try both melee and shooting to see which works best against a monster.
- Upgrade stats that complement your preferred weapon.

Multiplayer Co‑op
Up to four players can join online co‑op to explore, build, and battle together. Cooperative play lets you divide tasks such as farming, crafting, or combat, speeding up town development.
Co‑op also includes shared mini‑games, giving groups a way to interact beyond the main gameplay loops.
- Assign each player a focus area to avoid duplication.
- Coordinate when entering combat to cover each other's weaknesses.
