About My Time at Portia
My Time at Portia places you in the post‑apocalyptic town of Portia, where you inherit a neglected workshop and a handbook from your Pa. Your goal is to restore the workshop, craft items, and become a valued member of the community while exploring a vibrant world.
Beyond crafting, you can farm, raise animals, befriend locals, and venture into ancient ruins filled with monsters and treasure. The game blends adventure, simulation, and RPG elements in a single‑player experience with full controller support and Steam Cloud saves.
01 / THE GUIDE
Workshop Building
You start with a derelict workshop that can be expanded and upgraded using resources you gather from the world. Adding crafting stations, decorations, and functional upgrades changes both the workshop’s appearance and your character’s stats.
Daily commissions and villager requests run alongside these upgrades, encouraging you to balance resource collection with construction projects.
- Prioritize upgrades that affect multiple stats for broader benefits.
- Sketch a layout early to avoid rearranging later.
02 / THE GUIDE
Farming and Animals
The woodland surrounding your workshop can be turned into a farm using planter boxes and semi‑automatic irrigation. You grow crops, harvest them, and raise animals for resources and profit.
You may also ride a horse or llama around town, providing mobility while you tend to fields or explore nearby areas.
- Use irrigation to reduce the need for manual watering.
- Combine animal products with cooking for higher‑value dishes.

Community and Romance
Portia is populated by a cast of characters with daily routines, jobs, and distinct personalities. Interacting, gifting, and completing requests deepens friendships and can lead to romance.
Villagers gather at restaurants and festivals, offering natural opportunities to learn their stories and strengthen bonds.
- Observe each character’s schedule to find optimal gifting moments.
- Participate in festivals to enjoy the town's celebrations.

Exploration and Combat
Ancient ruins and dungeons lie beneath Portia, accessible with a pickaxe and Relic Scanner. Inside, you encounter monsters and bosses that guard valuable loot.
Equipping a weapon is required for these encounters, and successful battles reward resources needed for crafting and upgrades.
- Upgrade your weapon before tackling boss areas.
- Carry enough healing items when exploring deep dungeons.
