About Muv-Luv Alternative
Muv‑Luv Alternative concludes the Muv‑Luv trilogy, picking up three years after Takeru first awoke in a war‑torn alternate reality. He returns to his childhood bedroom three years earlier, giving him a chance to act on the knowledge he gained.
The visual novel runs 50‑70 hours, offers Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese text, and includes new CGs, voice acting, and a UI rebuilt for tablets and touchscreens. Steam Cloud saves let progress follow you across devices.

Story Setup
Three years have passed since Takeru awoke in an alternate world where humanity fights the alien BETA. During that time he enlisted, met parallel versions of friends, and was trained for the secret UN project Alternative IV.
When Alternative IV stalls, the UN replaces it with Alternative V, a plan to abandon Earth. Takeru dies in the war, then awakens back in his childhood bedroom three years earlier, offering a second chance to influence history.
- Read early dialogue carefully; it introduces the Alternative projects.
- Note the relationships Takeru forms, as they reappear after his return.
