About Motion Soccer PRO
Motion Soccer PRO places you in the role of a football referee for full 11‑v‑11 matches. You can blow the whistle, hand out cards and award penalties while the crowd reacts to every call, and you may play either in VR or on a monitor with mouse, keyboard, controller or Steam Deck.
Beyond the central referee you can step into the VAR room, run the line, act as fourth official, coach from the bench, photograph the action or join the crowd. Online matches support up to 48 participants, with AI filling any empty slots.
01 / THE GUIDE
Main Referee
As the primary official you call fouls, apply advantage, display yellow and red cards and award penalties from inside the pitch. Players protest, coaches complain and the crowd boos, making each decision visibly affect the match atmosphere.
You may follow the rule‑book to earn respect, or deliberately tilt the game and try to avoid detection. Every choice alters how players, coaches and fans react to you throughout the match.
- Watch the timing of player protests to gauge how strict your officiating appears.
- Balance the use of cards; too many may trigger stronger crowd backlash.
02 / THE GUIDE
VAR Room
In the VAR role you sit in the review suite, rewind incidents and view them from several camera angles. You can recommend a review, draw the off‑side line and help the referee reach the correct decision.
The interface lets you study big calls in detail, helping the referee get the big decisions right.
- Use multiple camera angles to confirm off‑side positions before recommending a review.
- Take a moment to rewind fully; missing a subtle infraction can change the outcome.

Assistant Referee (Line)
Running the line you follow the last defender and raise the flag for offsides, throw‑ins and fouls the main referee cannot see. Your signals are essential for maintaining flow and fairness on the touchline.
The touchline position offers a side view of the play for flagging offsides and ball-out-of-play calls.
- Keep the flag steady to avoid ambiguous signals for players.
- Watch the defender’s foot placement closely for accurate off‑side calls.

Multiplayer Role Slots
Online matches can host up to 48 participants, each filling a specific role such as referee, assistant, VAR, fourth official, coach, commentator, photographer or fan. Any empty slot is automatically covered by AI, so any combination works.
You may play with just two people or fill the entire stadium, letting friends compete as rival photographers or cooperate as a full officiating crew.
- Coordinate with teammates to ensure every role is covered for smoother gameplay.
- Leave some slots open if you prefer AI handling less‑used positions.
