About Morphblade
Morphblade is a single‑player grid‑based action title where each hex you step onto determines your current weapon. You move, slice, smash, or burst through waves of red bugs using the abilities tied to Blades, Hammer, Arrow, Repair, Teleport and Acid tiles.
Between waves you expand the grid and apply upgrades earned from killing bugs. Upgrades let you cross‑breed hex abilities, creating hybrids that combine effects such as armor‑piercing, healing, or extended range.

Hex Types
Every tile on the grid is a hex that grants a specific weapon when you move onto it. Blades let you slice enemies on either side as you travel, Hammers let you stay still and smash a single foe, and Arrows launch you through two enemies in a line.
Repair hexes restore any damage you have taken when you move onto them, Teleport hexes let you jump to any other tile on the grid, and Acid hexes strip armor from tough enemies, making them vulnerable to subsequent attacks.
- Consider placing Repair hexes where you frequently pass after a hard wave to regain health before the next encounter.
- Use Teleport hexes to shorten travel distance and reach distant weapon types quickly.

Upgrade System
Defeating bugs awards upgrades that can be applied to any hex type. An upgrade adds a property from another hex, allowing you to cross‑breed abilities such as giving an Arrow the armor‑piercing effect of Acid.
Upgrades may be stacked, so a single hex can accumulate several effects. For example, an Arrow can gain infinite range, armor‑piercing, healing, and teleportation all at once when multiple upgrades are applied.
- Focus upgrades on the hex you use most often to build a reliable core attack.
- Experiment with stacking different abilities to discover combos that suit the current wave composition.

Wave Structure
Enemies arrive in successive waves of red bugs. A wave ends when all bugs are eliminated, after which you can modify the grid before the next wave begins.
During a wave you must clear the bugs using the weapons provided by the hexes you traverse. Successful clearance grants the upgrades used to enhance your hexes for later waves.
- Plan your movement path to maximize the number of enemies hit per hex activation.
- Deploy Acid hexes early against armored bugs to reduce their durability for the remainder of the wave.

Grid Building
Between waves you choose how to expand the grid, adding new hexes. This lets you shape the battlefield to match upcoming challenges and to create preferred movement routes.
The layout you create determines the sequence of weapon changes you can make during the next wave, influencing how efficiently you can clear bugs and where you can place healing or teleportation options.
- Place Teleport hexes near the center for easy access to distant sections of the grid.
- Balance offensive and defensive hexes to keep options open when bug patterns become unpredictable.
