About MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 2
Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 is a free-to-play team battle action game set in the Universal Century era of the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Players join 6-vs-6 online battles on land or in space, fighting either from the cockpit of a Mobile Suit or on foot as infantry capturing key objectives.
Between matches, pilots gather in the Base Camp lobby to strengthen their Mobile Suits and interact with war buddies from around the world. New suits are acquired with DP earned from matches or with tokens from weekly Supply Drops, and the listing notes Steam features such as achievements, leaderboards, and family sharing.
01 / THE GUIDE
Team Battle Structure
Matches pit two teams of up to six players each against one another in online PvP on realistic battlefields. Combat takes place both on land and in space, with teams contesting important objectives across the map.
The format rewards coordinated play: Mobile Suit pilots and infantry each contribute in different ways, so a squad that divides roles well can outperform a group of individually strong players.
- Agree with teammates beforehand on who fights in Mobile Suits and who plays infantry.
- Prioritize objective capture over chasing kills to secure win conditions faster.

Infantry Combat
Mobile Suits are not the only heroes on the battlefield. Pilots on foot can place bombs in enemy bases and request support fire, giving infantry a direct impact on the match outcome.
These actions complement Mobile Suit assaults, creating layered tactics: while suits trade fire and hold ground, infantry slip into enemy bases to sabotage them or call in fire support at decisive moments.
- Use bomb placement to disrupt enemy base defenses while your team pushes elsewhere.
- Request support fire when your team is contesting a point to tip the fight in your favor.

Mobile Suit Customization
New Mobile Suits are acquired with DP earned from matches or with purchased tokens from the weekly Supply Drops. Once a suit is owned, it can be developed in the hangar by customizing specific parts and weapons or unlocking other important abilities.
This development system lets you tailor each suit toward your preferred combat style, whether that means emphasizing firepower, durability, or mobility.
- Choose parts that reinforce the role you want a suit to fill in team battles.
- Balance weapon customization with ability unlocks so your suit stays versatile.

Base Camp Hub
Base Camp is an online lobby where pilots from around the world connect. Here you can strengthen your Mobile Suits and prepare for various battles before heading out to the battlefield.
The lobby also serves as a social space where you can freely interact with war buddies, making it a natural place to exchange strategies and coordinate with other players.
- Stop by Base Camp between sessions to keep your suits developed and ready.
- Interact with other pilots to learn tactics and find reliable teammates.

The listing does not specify how these controller features apply to particular modes or sessions, so treat the feature names as a starting point rather than a guarantee of behavior in every situation.

- Use Steam achievements and leaderboards as extra goals beyond match victories.
