About Mission: It's Complicated

Mission: It’s Complicated is a visual‑novel adventure where you guide a cast of five superheroes through nightly missions and daytime dates. The goal is to nurture either romantic or platonic bonds so the pair can continue dating and keep the world safe.

The game is free, features over 100 000 words of dialogue, cute art, and allows any hero to pair with any other. Every pairing ends happily, and you can skip previously completed missions while still earning credit toward the ultimate happy ending.

01 / THE GUIDE

Hero Pairings

Any of the five heroes can be paired with any other, creating a wide range of romantic or platonic relationships. The game tracks each pair’s bond and rewards you with dates as the connection deepens.

Both romance and friendship are treated as valid win conditions, letting you choose the type of love you want to pursue for each duo.

  • Experiment with different pairings to see which dynamics you enjoy most.
  • Note which dialogue choices boost the bond fastest for each type of relationship.

Mission Management

Heroes are sent on nightly missions that are intentionally ridiculous. Keeping them safe is crucial; injuries prevent daytime dates. Avoiding injuries keeps heroes available for their daytime dates.

If you have already completed a mission, you can skip it and still receive credit, allowing faster access to later dates and endings.

  • Prioritize keeping your heroes safe on missions so they can keep dating.
  • Use the skip feature for repeat missions to focus on new content.
