About Meltopia

Meltopia drops you into a snowy world where the primary challenge is not avoiding the cold but using heat to reveal what lies beneath. You wield a heat gun and other tools to melt snow, uncover hidden resources, and explore icy caves that contrast sharply with the surface.

The game encourages a relaxed, self‑paced adventure. Collect ancient artifacts and the scattered remains of a Mammoth, upgrade your heat gun, and use dynamite when heat alone won’t break through. There are no strict timers, allowing you to explore and thaw at your leisure.

01 / THE GUIDE

Exploration

The frozen landscape is filled with snowy tunnels, icy caves, and forgotten dungeons. Each area hides surprising stories and hidden passages that reward careful wandering.

Contrasting the bright snow, the interior of caves offers dripping water sounds and shimmering walls, creating a striking visual shift that deepens the sense of discovery.

  • Take time to look for subtle entrances; many caves are tucked behind thick snow drifts.
  • Listen for water sounds; they often indicate a nearby underground chamber.

02 / THE GUIDE

Heat Gun Mechanics

Your primary tool is a heat gun that melts snow to open new pathways. It also helps defeat icy enemies when upgraded. The gun’s effectiveness can be improved over time.

Melting snow isn’t an obstacle—it’s the way forward. By applying heat, you gradually thaw the environment and reveal resources or hidden areas.

  • Focus the heat gun on thick snow layers first to clear larger sections quickly.
  • Upgrade the gun early if you plan to face many icy obstacles.

03 / THE GUIDE

Dynamite Use

When the heat gun cannot break through, dynamite provides explosive power to blast thick ice. This tool opens hard‑to‑reach zones that would otherwise remain sealed.

Dynamite is especially useful in dense ice walls or when you need quick access to deeper sections without prolonged melting.

  • Reserve dynamite for the thickest ice blocks to conserve supplies.
  • Combine a quick heat gun blast with dynamite for faster clearance.

04 / THE GUIDE

Artifact Collection

Rare resources and ancient artifacts are hidden beneath the snow. Each find brings you closer to uncovering the story of the frozen world and assembling the Mammoth remains.

Collected items are brought back to your hub platform, where they gradually thaw, reinforcing the game’s core loop of melt‑and‑discover.

  • Mark locations of discovered artifacts on a simple map for later reference.
  • Prioritize artifacts that hint at the Mammoth’s story to stay on track.

05 / THE GUIDE

Upgrade System

Over time you can enhance your heat gun, making it melt snow faster and handle icy enemies more effectively. Upgrades are a natural progression as you explore deeper.

Improving the gun directly impacts how quickly you can clear areas, allowing smoother access to later zones and hidden secrets.

  • Upgrade the gun to melt snow faster when tougher ice slows your progress.
  • Balance upgrades between melt speed and enemy effectiveness for versatile play.
