About Meet Your Maker

In Meet Your Maker you act as the Custodian of the Chimera, a living experiment tasked with harvesting pure genetic material called Genmat. You construct fortified Outposts from a large selection of blocks, traps, and guard patrols, then defend the Genmat you collect.

The game blends action and strategy: you raid other players' Outposts to steal Genmat, and you share your own creations for others to attempt. Play solo, with a partner, or in online co‑op, and use the replay system to refine both building and raiding tactics.

01 / THE GUIDE

Outpost Construction

Players combine a huge array of blocks, traps and guards to build devious fortresses called Outposts. Traps can be modified after placement, giving you complete control over your creation.

An Outpost serves as both a resource generator and a challenge. Once finished it can be shared, and you earn rewards from raiders who fail to survive your design.

  • Experiment with different trap combinations to see how they interact.
  • Consider guard placement that covers likely intrusion routes.

02 / THE GUIDE

Raiding Other Players

Raiding means infiltrating another player's Outpost to steal Genmat. Success relies on instinct, intellect and reflexes during a do‑or‑die heist.

Before entering you select a loadout that matches the unique challenges of the target Outpost, then grab the Genmat and work to escape alive.

  • Watch the replay of a raid to learn the layout before attempting your own.
  • Adjust your loadout to counter the most common trap types you observe.

03 / THE GUIDE

Custom Guard Patrol Paths

Guards can be assigned custom patrol routes during construction, allowing you to record defensive patrol patterns for your Outpost.

These recorded paths become part of the Outpost’s challenge, and raiders must navigate them while attempting to reach the Genmat.

  • Overlap patrols to create zones of higher danger.
  • Use the replay system to verify timing and coverage of guard routes.

04 / THE GUIDE

Replay System

After a raid, the replay system lets you view how raiders tackled your Outpost, highlighting strengths and weaknesses in your design.

Replays also serve as a learning tool for improving your own raiding strategies by showing successful and failed approaches.

  • Focus on moments where raiders die to identify effective traps.
  • Note successful paths to avoid copying them in future raids.

05 / THE GUIDE

Co‑op Building and Raiding

You can build an Outpost together with an ally or raid as a team of two, merging creativity with combat skills.

Online co‑op lets you join forces with a partner during both construction and raids.

  • Coordinate guard placements with your partner for layered defense.
  • Synchronize loadouts when raiding together to cover each other's weaknesses.
