About MaSzyna
MaSzyna is a train‑driver simulator focused on Polish railways, offering detailed 3D models, authentic sounds recorded from real cabs, and physics that mimic brake and traction behavior. The game emphasizes realism, from locomotive liveries derived from photographs to signalling that follows real‑world standards.
Players can choose from over 40 electric and diesel locomotives, numerous multiple units, and a variety of freight and passenger configurations. With about fifteen routes—including the real Częstochowa‑Ozimek line—and nearly two hundred scenarios, each mission can differ thanks to random events and realistic traffic control.

Locomotive Variety
MaSzyna provides more than 40 electric and diesel locomotives, plus many electric multiple units, nearly all modeled from high‑quality photo textures. Hundreds of liveries, also based on real photographs, let players match the visual identity of Polish rail vehicles. The simulator lets you operate express trains up to 160 km/h, regional services with frequent stops, or heavy freight trains with 40 coal cars, giving a broad spectrum of driving experiences.
- Compare the visual details of liveries to spot subtle differences between locomotive classes.
- Experiment with both passenger and freight configurations to appreciate the distinct handling characteristics.

Routes and Scenarios
The game includes roughly fifteen railway routes, one of which is the real Polish line Częstochowa‑Ozimek. Across these routes, players encounter almost two hundred scenarios that vary in objectives and conditions. Random events are integrated into many scenarios, ensuring that each mission feels fresh and that traffic patterns differ each playthrough.
- Review the scenario description before starting to anticipate possible random events.
- Use the real‑world route as a reference for geographic orientation during navigation.

Physics and Braking
MaSzyna places strong emphasis on realistic physics, faithfully reproducing brake dynamics and the traction traits of electric powertrains. This attention to detail affects acceleration, deceleration, and handling on gradients. Accurate brake systems are highlighted as a core element that distinguishes the simulator from less detailed titles, demanding careful speed management and anticipation of stopping distances.
- Observe how brake response changes between diesel and electric locomotives.
- Practice gradual braking on slopes to get a feel for the simulated physics.

Signalling and Traffic
Railway signalling follows realistic standards, and traffic is managed accordingly, creating authentic interactions with other trains. The simulator’s signalling system governs train movements, requiring compliance with signals to avoid conflicts. Random events and realistic traffic flow mean that each run can present different timing challenges, reinforcing the need for situational awareness and adherence to signal indications.
- Keep an eye on signal aspects to plan speed changes early.
- Notice how traffic density influences the frequency of stop signals.

Accessibility Options
MaSzyna offers several user‑adjustable features, including adjustable text size, camera comfort settings, custom volume controls, and selectable difficulty levels. Input can be limited to keyboard only or mouse only, catering to different player preferences. Audio can be experienced in stereo or surround sound, and the game supports Steam Cloud for saving progress, while also providing a level editor for custom content creation.
- Try the keyboard‑only option if you prefer tactile control without mouse movement.
- Adjust text size and camera comfort to reduce visual strain during long sessions.
