01 / THE GUIDE
Studio Building & Hiring
Begin in a modest garage and expand office space as you hire more staff. Employees need lounges, bathrooms and other amenities to stay comfortable and productive. The studio can grow from a handful of workers to hundreds, supporting larger projects.
Hiring top talent and providing lounges, bathrooms and other amenities helps create a comfortable and clean environment for your staff to develop in. As the studio expands you can transition from a pure developer to also becoming a publisher and even a console manufacturer.
- Balance office upgrades with hiring to avoid bottlenecks.
- Monitor employee satisfaction after adding new amenities.

Existing consoles can be upgraded to Pro, Slim or newer versions, extending their lifespan and keeping them competitive in the market.
- Match console specs to the current technological era.

- Form temporary alliances to share technology early on.
