Ghost‑Hunting Mechanics
Each encounter begins with a ghost‑hunting phase where players identify the spirit type by uncovering its tragic past. Once identified, players solve a puzzle linked to that history to either exorcise a malicious ghost or bring peace to a benevolent one.
Out of 18 possible ghosts, each presents a unique story and puzzle. Early access includes four ghosts, each requiring distinct evidence and equipment.
- Record all discovered evidence before attempting a puzzle.
- Match equipment to the ghost type for quicker identification.

Equipment
The game provides 24 different pieces of equipment to gather evidence and identify ghost types. Players select tools in the garage before heading to the orphanage, allowing strategic preparation for each session.
Equipment can also be bought or sold in the garage, and some items serve as trinkets for the mysterious Shady Dealer.
- Experiment with different equipment combos to find the most efficient setup.
- Check the garage inventory before each chapter for new tools.

Map and Environment
The orphanage map is large, complex, and shifts each session, requiring players to locate clues anew each playthrough. Dark, claustrophobic sections enhance the eerie atmosphere.
As chapters progress, more areas become accessible, and mini‑games further expand the playable space.
- Mark discovered locations on a personal map to avoid redundant searches.
- Use light sources wisely in dark sections to maintain visibility.
05 / THE GUIDE
Shady Dealer
A mysterious figure known as the Shady Dealer roams the orphanage, collecting trinkets. Their purpose is unknown, but they favor collected items.
Players can gather trinkets throughout the orphanage and use them with the Shady Dealer’s items to aid in locating specific ghosts.
- Prioritize collecting trinkets in early rooms for later use.
- Observe the Dealer’s reactions to different items for clues.
