About Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name follows Kazuma Kiryu, who now operates under the codename “Joryu.” After faking his own death to protect his family, Kiryu is drawn back into conflict by a mysterious figure seeking to drive him out of hiding. The narrative unfolds across the vibrant districts of Sotenbori and Yokohama, delivering bone‑shattering combat in locations filled with exciting characters and activities. Players can dynamically switch between two high‑impact fighting styles: the Yakuza style, which emphasizes wildly aggressive, strength‑driven combos, and the Agent style, which focuses on speed, precision, and the use of high‑tech gadgets such as electrified bind wires. A hidden container ship called the Castle houses a secret Coliseum where three legendary yakuza—Goro Majima, Taiga Saejima, and Daigo Dojima—appear as optional playable fighters, each bringing their own move sets to arena battles. Beyond the core story, the world offers a secret Battle arena, karaoke sessions, a live‑action cabaret club, and a pocket‑circuit racing mode, providing a variety of immersive experiences. An informant named Akame supplies optional sub‑missions that deepen the narrative as players explore the city. Completing the main campaign unlocks a special trial version of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, accessible after the story’s conclusion. The Windows version supports full controller input, including DualShock and DualSense controllers, and integrates Steam services such as Achievements, Cloud saves, Trading Cards, and Family Sharing. The Deluxe Edition bundles the Legendary Fighter Pack, granting access to the three Coliseum characters. The game is single‑player only, may receive future updates, and will receive English voice work in a post‑launch patch.
