About Life Goes On: Done to Death
Life Goes On: Done to Death is a morbidly comic platformer where the only way forward is to sacrifice knights. Each death fuels a puzzle, turning brutal mishaps into clever solutions as you hunt for the Cup of Life.
The game spans over 65 levels across four colourful worlds filled with lava, ice, spikes, and bizarre contraptions. Along the way you can collect silly hats, wield odd weapons, and even recruit a zombified companion, all while chasing high‑score challenges and a final boss showdown.
01 / THE GUIDE
Death as Puzzle Mechanic
The core design forces you to kill knights to progress. Spikes, sawblades, ice, electricity and cannons each transform a dead body into a tool for the next obstacle. This makes each fatal mistake a purposeful action rather than a setback.
Because death is required, the game encourages experimentation with how each death interacts with environmental mechanisms, turning the usual platformer frustration into a strategic element.
- Observe how each trap converts a corpse before committing to a kill.
- Try different death types in the same area to discover hidden routes.
