About Liar's Bar

Liar's Bar is a first‑person multiplayer online game where four players sit at a virtual table and compete through a series of deception‑based mini‑games. Each round blends card‑calling, dice‑bidding, and slot‑spinning mechanics that can end in Russian Roulette, poison drinks, or lethal spins.

The title offers four distinct game modes, a cast of nine regular characters with backstories, and regular updates that add new games and personalities. It runs on Windows and supports online co‑op and PvP play.

01 / THE GUIDE

Card Bluff and Russian Roulette

Players place a face‑down card and announce its value, such as "King" or "Queen". If another player suspects a lie, they may call the bluff. A caught liar must then survive a round of Russian Roulette, where one of six chambers contains a bullet; surviving keeps them in the game.

After the roulette round, the cards are reset and play continues. This cycle repeats each time a bluff is called, adding tension and risk to each declaration.

  • Observe patterns in opponents' declared values to gauge when a bluff is likely.
  • If you must call a bluff, consider the probability of the bullet position before the roulette spin.

02 / THE GUIDE

Dice Bidding and Poison

On a turn, a player bids on the total number of a specific die face showing across all players, for example, "There are five 3’s". The next player must raise the bid or challenge it. A failed challenge forces the loser to drink a bottle of poison; drinking two bottles eliminates a player.

The last surviving player after all poison drinks wins the round. This mechanic blends bluffing with probability assessment.

  • Track the number of dice each player has to improve bid accuracy.
  • Challenge only when you have a strong suspicion to avoid drinking poison.

03 / THE GUIDE

Bullet Betting and Texas Hold’em Variant

Players bet bullets instead of chips in a Texas Hold’em‑style round. On a turn, you may call to add a bullet or fold and pull the trigger with your current bet. A single "Coward’s Fold" lets you pull the trigger with only one bullet on your first turn.

Additional actions include swapping a card before all cards are revealed, going all‑in to force bets, and revealing shared cards as bullets are added, culminating in a final showdown.

  • Use the "Coward’s Fold" early to minimize risk if you feel uncertain.
  • Consider swapping a card when you suspect your hand is weak before the reveal.

04 / THE GUIDE

Slot Spin and Execution

Players spin slots and claim how many Hearts they have, with a visible slot for all. If a claim is challenged and false, the player faces a Death Spin; no Heart results in instant death. Surviving removes the claim’s points and play continues.

Reaching five points unlocks the EXECUTE ability, allowing the highest‑scoring player to instantly kill the lowest‑scoring player, chosen at random if tied. Each player also has one DOUBLE SPIN to spin twice in a turn.

  • Save DOUBLE SPIN for a critical moment when you need to change the outcome.
  • Aim for five points early to gain access to EXECUTE before opponents.

05 / THE GUIDE

Cast and Ongoing Content

Nine regular characters occupy the table each night, each with a backstory accessible via Table Stories from the main menu. The game receives regular updates that add new games, characters, and story content, keeping the experience fresh.

The developers, Curve Animation, promote the title as an engaging multiplayer simulation with a focus on lying and deception, supporting online co‑op and PvP on Windows.

  • Explore Table Stories to learn character motives that may inform their play style.
  • Check update notes regularly for new game modes or character additions.
