About LET IT DIE
LET IT DIE is an offline action title released after the online service ended on August 31 2026. Set in 2026 AD, a massive tectonic disturbance split South‑Western Tokyo into the ocean, leaving a spire‑like Tower of Barbs that some deem holy.
Guided by Uncle Death, a skate‑boarding reaper, players begin the climb in underwear and must survive by any means—crafting gear, eating odd creatures, and using ultra‑violent Rage Moves—to reach the rumored sacred treasure at the summit.
01 / THE GUIDE
Story and Setting
The world has been reshaped by a tectonic event that created a tower rising from the sea, called the Tower of Barbs. Uncle Death watches over the chaos and hints at a sacred treasure awaiting those who survive the climb.
Players start their ascent in underwear, navigating a pulp‑filled environment where madness spreads and hidden mysteries await. The narrative frames each climb as a fight for survival against the tower’s denizens and the ever‑present threat of death.
- Pay attention to Uncle Death’s dialogue for clues about upcoming hazards.
- Explore side corridors; they often hide useful items or shortcuts.

Collecting and Developing Equipment
Throughout the tower, players acquire weapons and armor by looting fallen foes or crafting superior gear. Creatures such as mushrooms and frogs can be eaten to restore strength or trigger special abilities.
If death occurs, belongings may be lost, but death does not always end the run, allowing continued gathering of resources and improvement of load‑out.
- Loot enemies first to secure immediate upgrades before crafting.
- Try different edible items to discover varied ability effects.

Death and Hunter Mechanics
When a Fighter’s HP is exhausted, they die and are resurrected as an enemy Hunter. Hunters can appear in the tower, gathering loot for a set period before being sent back if killed.
This creates a loop where death can turn a player into a temporary threat, while also offering a chance to reclaim stolen items if the Hunter is eliminated.
- If a Hunter appears, prioritize eliminating it quickly to protect your stash.
- Consider the timing of your own deaths; becoming a Hunter at strategic moments may yield extra loot.

VIP Elevator Service
A VIP elevator service is offered for “maximum convenience while slaughtering your foes.” This service provides a faster means of moving within the tower for players who choose it.
Direct Hell also insures resources if a player’s base is raided in the Tokyo Death Metro, adding a layer of protection for those who subscribe.
- Use the VIP elevator to save time on repetitive climbs.
- Consider the insurance benefit if you plan extensive resource gathering.
