About 军团战棋Legion War
Legion War is a 4X strategy title set in a fantasy world where you lead a legion, build castles, explore unknown lands, and hunt for treasure. The ultimate goal is to defeat opposing legions and challenge the hidden god that governs the realm.
Four distinct legions—Human, Undead, Steam, and Wild—each provide unique heroes, units, spells, and technology cards. Maps are procedurally generated, support up to six legions, and feature varied terrain such as Pangaea, Islands, and Ring Continent, ensuring each playthrough feels fresh.
01 / THE GUIDE
Legion Choices
At launch the game offers four legions: Human, Undead, Steam, and Wild, with more planned for the future. Each legion supplies four exclusive heroes, nine specialized units, nine spells, and a set of technology cards that shape its strategic options.
These legion‑specific assets create distinct tactical flavors. For example, the Human legion is described as expansive, while the Undead legion is crafted as crafty, allowing players to select a faction that matches their preferred approach to expansion and combat.
- Compare the unique unit rosters of each legion before committing to a long‑term campaign.
- Review each legion’s hero talent trees to see which align with your strategic goals.

Procedurally Generated Worlds
Every map is generated algorithmically, guaranteeing a new layout for each session. Map types include Pangaea, Great Plain, Mediterranean, Islands, Ring Continent, and more, each supporting up to six legions playing together.
The variety of terrain influences resource placement, travel routes, and castle locations, requiring players to adapt their strategies to the specific geography of each generated world.
- Observe how different map types affect travel distance to resource nodes.
- Scout early to locate advantageous positions unique to each generated map.

Resource Management
Four resource categories—Gold, Knowledge, Industry, and Magic—drive expansion. Players can capture corresponding resource sites on the map or construct castle buildings to increase their supply of each type.
Each resource serves a specific function: Gold funds building upgrades, Knowledge unlocks technology cards, Industry purchases unit upgrades, and casting spells consumes mana, shaping both economic and military decisions.
- Prioritize capturing resource sites that match your immediate strategic needs.
- Invest in castle structures that boost the resource you lack most early on.

Heroes and Units
Units form the backbone of exploration, combat, and treasure hunting, with each legion offering nine unique types. Heroes, four per legion, act as upgraded units with talent trees, six equipment slots, and a distinct upgrade each game.
Normal units can be upgraded to heroes via technology cards, granting them talents and gear while limiting the player to a single upgraded version of that unit type.
- Upgrade a frequently used unit to a hero for added talent flexibility.
- Equip heroes with gear that complements their talent focus for maximum impact.

Technology Cards and Unit Upgrades
Knowledge unlocks technology cards across three trees—economy, military, and magic—each with three levels. Cards can boost economy, strengthen units, or enhance spells, and most are shared among legions while some remain exclusive.
Industry purchases unit upgrade trees, letting players customize each unit type with independent talent trees and equip up to three items, tailoring forces to the strategic demands of the current map.
- Advance through a tech tree sequentially to unlock higher‑level cards without gaps.
- Combine unit talent upgrades with item equips to create specialized roles.
