01 / THE GUIDE
Car roster and classes
The base game ships 19 cars, covering Hypercars, LMP2, LMGT3 and LMGTE categories, with over 200 livery options. Notable Hypercars include Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, Cadillac, Peugeot, Glickenhaus and Vanwall, while LMGT3 adds 2024‑25 models like Mercedes AMG Evo, Ford Mustang and McLaren 720 Evo. Additional DLC expands the roster with more Hypercars, LMGT3 entries and classic GTE machines.
Each class behaves according to its real‑world physics, using the pMotor 2.5 engine from rFactor 2. The physics model handles hybrid systems, tyre brush dynamics and vehicle “flat spots,” delivering class‑specific handling feel.
- Experiment with different class setups to feel the distinct handling characteristics.
- Use the extensive livery library to personalize your car and stand out online.

Laser‑scanned tracks
Seven circuits from the 2023 FIA WEC calendar are laser‑scanned for the base game, including Monza, Spa‑Francorchamps, Sebring, Bahrain, Portimão, Fuji and the Circuit de la Sarthe. DLC adds tracks such as Imola, Interlagos, COTA, Qatar and US venues like Laguna Seca and Daytona. All tracks feature day‑night cycles and dynamic weather.
Track surfaces evolve during a weekend: they start green and gain rubber as cars pass, while dust, dirt and marbles shift off the racing line. Weather can bring rain, puddles and windshield debris, affecting grip and visibility.
- Plan your tyre strategy around evolving grip levels during a race weekend.
- Watch weather forecasts in‑game to anticipate changing conditions.

Physics model and assists
Le Mans Ultimate uses a 400 Hz physics engine derived from pMotor 2.5, delivering detailed force‑feedback for wheel users and a brush‑model tyre system that captures slip angles and flat‑spot effects. Difficulty and assist settings are selectable, allowing newcomers to enable help while seasoned players can opt for full simulation.
Controller support is improved, and the game includes preset force‑feedback configurations created with equipment manufacturers, ensuring a predictable steering feel across supported hardware.
- Start with higher assist levels if you are new to sim racing, then gradually reduce them.
- Try the provided force‑feedback presets to quickly find a comfortable wheel feel.

Multiplayer modes
Online play is powered by RaceControl, offering ranked daily, weekly and special events that affect Driver and Safety rankings. Players can also host private servers for leagues or custom races. Co‑op “play‑by‑mail” lets friends race together against AI at individually chosen difficulty levels, with points contributing to leaderboards.
Ranked events unlock higher‑ranked races and exclusive content as the game evolves alongside the real FIA WEC season.
- Participate in daily events to earn ranking points and unlock tougher races.
- Use the server hosting tools to create a league with friends for regular competition.

Race Weekend single‑player mode
Race Weekend lets players craft a full endurance weekend: practice, qualifying and a main race against AI with adjustable difficulty. Time of day, session length and weather can be set before starting. Mid‑race saves are possible at pit stops, allowing long races to be split across play sessions.
The mode serves as a testbed for car setup and strategy before entering online competition, and it mirrors real‑world endurance formats with day‑night transitions and evolving track conditions.
- Save at pit stops to manage long endurance races without losing progress.
- Adjust weather and time of day to practice handling night‑time lighting.
