About Last Oasis
Last Oasis is a nomadic survival MMO set on a halted‑rotating Earth where life exists only in a narrow strip between scorching sun and frozen waste. Players travel the massive open world on wooden, wind‑powered Walkers that can be customized for travel, harvesting, or combat. The game emphasizes exploration, resource gathering, and player‑driven economy. Solo players and clans alike can hunt creatures, trade, or fight for territory, while dynamic weather and hostile Rupu add constant challenges.

Walker Customization
Walkers are wooden, wind‑powered machines inspired by Theo Jansen’s strandbeests. They serve as siege engines and can be adapted for travel, transportation, harvesting, and combat. Players can personalize Walkers with a multitude of structures, attachments, and upgrades to fit their preferred playstyle, whether focusing on mobility, firepower, or resource collection.
- Experiment with different attachments to discover which combination best supports your preferred activities.
- Balance offensive and defensive structures to stay versatile in both combat and exploration.

Resource Management
Survival hinges on finding water, hunting creatures, and brewing Vitamins. Rare resources are scattered across interconnected oases, each over 100 km², and are essential for building and improving bases. Trade networks link discovered oases, allowing players to profit from supply and demand, while weather like sandstorms can make travel between oases more difficult.
- Prioritize establishing a base near an oasis to reduce travel risk during sandstorms.
- Monitor market trends in trade hubs to maximize profit from scarce resources.

Combat System
Last Oasis features dynamic, skill‑based directional melee combat with a range of one‑ and two‑handed swords, maces, axes, and quarterstaves. Walkers can also be equipped with ranged weapons such as ballistas, scattershot guns, repeaters, or giant slingshots. Players may specialize in a single weapon type or diversify across melee and ranged options, adapting to the threats posed by creatures like the sandworm “The Long Ones” or hostile players.
- Practice timing and direction in melee to maximize damage against fast‑moving foes.
- Combine melee and Walker‑mounted ranged weapons for layered defense against large enemies.

Grappling Hook Usage
Grappling hooks are essential tools for every Nomad, used to board Walkers—both friendly and enemy—and to navigate spaces inaccessible by Walkers. They can be adapted to many playstyles, from aggressive boarding to safe traversal. Without a grappling hook, a Nomad is vulnerable in the sands, emphasizing the tool’s importance for both combat and exploration.
- Keep a grappling hook equipped when venturing near enemy Walkers for quick boarding opportunities.
- Practice hook placement on varied terrain to improve mobility in tight environments.

Clan Influence and Economy
Clans can control territories and shape the player‑driven economy, but solo players can also thrive as traders, mercenaries, or hunters. Controlling a region allows building alliances and defending income against rival clans. Economic success depends on smart trading, resource harvesting, and occasionally threatening competitors, as enemy clans will challenge control and attempt to seize assets.
- Form alliances with neighboring clans to secure trade routes and mutual defense.
- Track competitor activity to anticipate and counter potential territorial challenges.
