About Last Man Sitting
Last Man Sitting is an over‑the‑top roguelite action shooter that draws on the fast‑paced feel of early‑2000s FPS titles. Players choose a load‑out, level up, and draft from a large pool of Power‑Ups while battling waves of sentient office appliances.
The game offers single‑player, online co‑op, and a four‑player PvP arena where competitors fight for leaderboard positions. Customisation includes Chair upgrades, weapons, and abilities, giving each run a distinct tactical flavour.
01 / THE GUIDE
Core Gameplay Loop
Each run consists of shooting, hacking, slashing, and grinding through increasingly difficult waves of office‑themed enemies. Surviving longer grants XP, which lets you level up and draft Power‑Ups for the next wave.
Progress is measured by how far you advance, the Chair upgrades you unlock, and your position on the leaderboards. The loop rewards both quick reflexes and strategic drafting of upgrades.
- Observe which enemy types appear early versus later to plan your Power‑Up drafts.
- Take note of how each wave changes the pace of combat and adjust your positioning accordingly.

Loadout and Power‑Ups
Before a run you select weapons, abilities, and a Chair upgrade, then draft Power‑Ups from a pool of over 200 options. These Power‑Ups modify attacks, defenses, or utility for the duration of the run.
The draft system lets you react to the specific enemy mix you face, from basic grunts to minibosses and major bosses, encouraging varied builds across attempts.
- Match your weapon’s primary function with Power‑Ups that reinforce that role.
- Balance offensive and defensive Power‑Ups to sustain longer waves.

Chair Upgrades
Chair upgrades are enhancements you unlock as you progress, expanding the options you can bring into each session.
Because they are unlocked over time, Chair upgrades give a sense of long‑term progression and let you revisit earlier challenges with additional capabilities.
- Review the description of each Chair upgrade to see which abilities complement your chosen Power‑Ups.
- Consider unlocking a variety of Chair upgrades to keep your options open for different play styles.

Co‑op Multiplayer
Online co‑op lets two or more players tackle the same wave‑based challenges together. You and your teammates face the same wave-based challenges together, grinding through progressively harder waves as a group.
Co‑op play encourages coordination, as teammates can select complementary load‑outs and Power‑Ups to cover each other's weaknesses against tougher enemy formations.
- Discuss draft priorities with teammates before each wave to avoid overlapping weaknesses.
- Align Chair upgrades among players to create a balanced team composition.

PvP Arena Mode
The PvP arena is a four‑player king‑of‑the‑hill match where friends compete using their drafted combos. Success contributes to personal and global leaderboards.
Arena matches let you put the combos you have drafted to the test against your peers in a competitive setting.
- Observe opponents’ load‑outs early to anticipate their Power‑Up choices.
- Adapt solo combos to the arena’s limited space for better positioning.
