About Landfall Archives
Landfall Archives is a Steam bundle that gathers 23 unreleased projects from Landfall and collaborators dating back to 2016. The collection showcases a range of experimental titles, from early versions of familiar games to completely new concepts, all built for Windows.
Within the archive you will find single‑player experiments, local split‑screen bouts, and online PvP prototypes. Each entry stands alone, offering its own rules, objectives, and tools for players to explore.

Robots Forever Series
Robots Forever (2018) places the player in a combat arena where modular robots can be damaged piece by piece; each robot part carries its own health and can be destroyed separately. Players must locate weapons to engage these robots and manage the individual damage zones.
Robots Forever 2 (2019) expands the concept with more robots of varying sizes and varied part configurations, and randomly spawning weapons that can be upgraded. The sequel keeps the per‑part health system while adding more size diversity and weapon variety.
- Observe which robot parts lose health fastest and target those to disable enemies quicker.
- Compare the weapon upgrade options between the two games to see how they affect damage distribution.

Airship Building Prototypes
Airships 1 (2018) offers a modular construction system that lets players assemble airships from interchangeable parts and then pilot the craft across a landscape. The focus is on experimenting with part combinations to achieve flight.
Airships 2 (2018) revisits the same modular approach but adds improved stabilization, making the ships easier to control while flying. This version serves as a refinement of the original building and exploration loop.
- Try different part mixes in Airships 1 to see how different configurations fly.
- Use the stabilization feature in Airships 2 to compare handling against the first prototype.

Online PvP Prototypes
Medieval America (2020) is an online PvP physics shooter where the level collapses as the battle progresses, requiring players to stay aware of changing terrain. The description emphasizes the destructible environment as a core hazard.
Counts and Stakes (2020) presents a top‑down shooter focused on precise aiming, set in small arenas with physics obstacles that can be interacted with. The game pits vampires against hunters in fast‑paced matches.
- Watch how the collapsing terrain in Medieval America changes movement options.
- Practice aiming in Counts and Stakes to gauge how physics obstacles affect line‑of‑sight.

Sandbox and Creative Tools
TABS 2017 includes a sandbox mode that lets players place a variety of units and experiment with the 2.0 physics system, offering an open‑ended playground rather than a fixed objective. This early version predates the later 3.0 system.
Playful (2021) is an online 1v1 sandbox where players can define their own rules and goals, providing a flexible framework for creating small custom games.
- Use TABS 2017’s sandbox to test how different units interact under the older physics system.
- In Playful, experiment with varied win conditions to see how the game adapts to custom rules.

Physics Presentation
Physics Presentation (2018) is an interactive slideshow rather than a playable game. It explains the physics principles that underpin many Landfall projects, presenting the physics principles used in Landfall's games.
Although it does not contain gameplay, the presentation can serve as a reference when trying out physics‑heavy titles in the archive, helping players anticipate how objects will behave.
- Review the slideshow before tackling physics‑intensive games to set expectations.
- Refer back to specific slides when you encounter surprising behavior in other titles.
