About 蛊婆 Lady in Tomb
Lady in Tomb is an early‑access survival‑horror title from Magyu Studio that blends over‑the‑shoulder third‑person shooting with puzzle solving inside a Chinese‑inspired tomb. The game launched on October 15 2020 and runs on Windows.
The current build focuses on visual refinement, lowered combat difficulty, added monster types, new boss encounters, expanded map areas, and multiple plot branches that lead to four possible endings. Players explore over 1,000 m² of rooms, manage limited ammunition, and encounter cultural artifacts throughout the experience.

Art and Visual Improvements
All 350 scene models, 27 puzzle models and 113 prop models have been refined, with 255 textures upgraded to 4K resolution and 182 materials switched to PBR, raising overall visual fidelity.
Lighting now uses a combined static‑plus‑dynamic approach, increasing brightness and hierarchy clarity, while scene baking is 20 % complete and the game targets a smooth 60 fps at 4K resolution.
- Compare distant and close‑up views to notice the texture resolution upgrade.
- Observe how brighter lighting changes depth perception in maze sections.

Combat Difficulty Changes
Monster HP on Hard and Hell difficulties has been reduced, and the original two‑resurrection mechanic is now limited to a single resurrection, making enemy encounters less forgiving.
A new head‑blow system prevents monsters from reviving after a head hit, monster blink behavior has been removed, and AI optimizations address previous flying, flurry and blinking bugs.
- Watch for blood splatter to confirm a monster is fully defeated.
- Target the head to trigger the non‑revival mechanic when possible.

Four boss battles have been implemented; their core logic is complete while experience tuning continues, and final‑boss optimization is at 90 % progress.
- Observe the moth’s flight pattern early to anticipate its attacks.
- Note the scorpion’s charge timing to plan safe escape routes.

The tomb layout includes more than 100 rooms with varied height differences, creating maze‑like navigation that intertwines puzzle placement with spatial challenges.

Story Branches and Endings
The narrative features two distinct branches that diverge based on player choices, ultimately leading to four possible endings that reflect the outcomes of those decisions.
Key characters—including sister Jiuyue and grandfather Wang Shengli—appear in the story, while the identity of the grave’s owner remains a mystery to uncover.
- Track major decision points to understand how they affect the ending you receive.
- Pay attention to dialogue cues from NPCs to anticipate upcoming branch splits.
