About King Of The Castle
King of the Castle is a multiplayer‑only party strategy where one player becomes the Monarch and the others join as loyal Nobles. A minimum of four participants is required, but only the Monarch needs to own the game; the rest can join freely.
The game builds a massive narrative from over 900,000 words, 950 events and 80 endings. Players manage five distinct Regions, each with its own schemes, and can continue their story in Dynasty Games after a reign ends.

Multiplayer Setup
A session begins with a single Monarch who owns the title and can host up to 24 other players as Nobles, allowing a total of 25 participants. The minimum player count of four ensures enough council members for voting.
When streamed on Twitch, an unlimited audience can join the council using a simple “!join” chat command and the Twitch Extension, making the game suitable for both small tabletop groups and large community gatherings.
- Test voice chat or local mic before the first vote to keep discussions clear.
- When streaming, set a concise “!join” command to let viewers enter quickly.

Region Management
The kingdom is divided into five Regions—Barons, Counts, Patricians, Grandees and Chiefs—each offering 18 possible Schemes that can challenge the Monarch. Players must balance the competing demands of these Regions through taxes, laws or persuasion.
If a Region’s Defiance rises too high, it can trigger a Rebellion that threatens the entire kingdom, adding pressure to keep unrest low across all areas.
- Monitor each Region’s defiance level to anticipate possible rebellions.
- Use tax adjustments early to build a resource buffer before crises.

Narrative Depth
Every decision is recorded, weaving a unique story from over 17,000 choices. The game contains more than 900,000 words across 950 events, ensuring each reign differs from the last.
After a reign ends, Dynasty Games let players continue the story, offering special events that reference previous actions and extend narrative continuity.
- Take notes on major choices to see how they influence later Dynasty events.
- Encourage players to role‑play their decisions for richer storytelling.

Twitch Integration
The game is fully integrated with Twitch, allowing streamers to act as the Monarch while viewers join the council via chat commands. An unlimited number of participants can be added using a simple “!join” command and the Twitch Extension.
This integration also increases the Monarch’s visibility in both Twitch and Party Games, letting streamers potentially overthrow each other in public sessions.
- Enable the Twitch Extension before the stream to avoid delays.
- Moderate chat to keep voting orderly during live sessions.
