About Kindred Spirits on the Roof
Kindred Spirits on the Roof is an adventure game set in Kokonotsuboshi Girls' Academy of Commerce, a school built on the site of an old castle called Shirojo. The story follows Toomi Yuna, who encounters two ghostly girls, Enoki Sachi and Nagatani Megumi, longing to experience their first love.
The ghosts enlist Yuna to help other students explore hidden feelings, hoping each successful yuri connection will teach them what they need before moving on. The game is single‑player and available on Windows, macOS, and Linux via Steam, supporting cloud saves and family sharing.

Story Premise
The narrative centers on Yuna’s solitary lunch on the school roof, interrupted by the spirits of Sachi and Megumi. These kindred spirits died with unfulfilled affection and now seek to witness a "first time" love before resting.
Their plan is to encourage other girls at the academy to acknowledge and act on hidden yuri feelings, believing each success will grant the ghosts insight into their own longing.
- Observe how each character’s backstory influences their motivations.
- Consider the setting’s history—an old castle turned school—as thematic context.

Gameplay Goal
Players guide Yuna to assist girls struggling with concealed emotions, aiming to foster more yuri couples within the academy. Success is measured by the number of relationships that develop under Yuna’s help.
The ghosts believe each new couple brings them closer to understanding their own desire for a "first time" experience, tying narrative progress to player actions.
- Focus on dialogue choices that reveal characters’ feelings.
- Track which pairs respond positively to Yuna’s interventions.
