About Killer Chat! - Original Edition
Killer Chat! – Original Edition puts you in a satirical serial‑killer dating sim where you play a customizable writer who pretends to be a murderer in a dark‑web chatroom. The goal is to gather “research” for a crime book while flirting with four possible killer partners.
Each romance route lasts about two to three hours, and completing all four routes takes roughly nine to twelve hours. The game includes voice and video calls, status updates, illustrated CGs, a custom soundtrack, and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
01 / THE GUIDE
Customisable Protagonist
At the start you create a main character by choosing a name, username, personality, gender, facial features, body shape, clothing, accessories, and a pseudo‑serial‑killer persona. These options define your main character's presentation in the game.
Beyond these presentation choices, the source does not document additional gameplay mechanics tied to customization.
- Try different personality presets to see how the killers’ replies vary.
- Notice whether gender selection influences any specific lines of dialogue.

Four Serial Killer Love Interests
The game offers four romanceable killers covering male, female, and non‑binary identities. Their backgrounds include an arsonist, a 1990s slasher, a surfer‑turned‑killer, and a lonely‑hearts poisoner.
Choosing a partner directs the story toward one of eight unique endings, reflecting the branching dialogue that unfolds over a six‑month in‑game timeline.
- Read each love interest’s profile early to gauge their narrative style.
- Track choices that seem to push the story toward a “happily ever after” or a “gruesomely lovesick corpse” ending.

In‑Game Communication Tools
Within the chat interface you can send text messages, write status updates, and compose a biography. These actions form the core of narrative progression and affect how NPCs respond.
The game also lets you make voice and video calls, listen to voice messages, and send friend requests, as part of the game's communication features.
- Experiment with different status messages after key interactions.
- Observe how accepting a friend request changes subsequent conversation options.

Illustrated CGs and Original Soundtrack
The game features four illustrated CGs at key story moments, providing visual highlights for major plot points without adding extra gameplay functions.
A custom‑made OST and sound effects accompany the scenes, reinforcing the darkly comedic atmosphere while remaining purely aesthetic.
- Watch each CG to note where the story reaches a major turning point.
- Listen for audio cues that may hint at upcoming dialogue shifts.
